Whew! What a long strange trip it's been.
This will be the last article I write on this blog. I would like to use this final post to summarize my thoughts and feelings about what has occurred over the past year. The blog up will stay up for a few days to allow comments and touch base with so many of you that I have grown accustomed to interacting with.
I cannot fully express how much respect and admiration I have for you. I am filled with PUMA pride that we fought the good fight together. We did what needed to be done. In the end we will be proven right and the American people will be begging us to bring back democracy.
I would be remiss if I did not first thank all of you. Communicating and interacting with so many of you has changed my life in so many wonderful ways. Perhaps most significantly in that I know with certainty I am not alone. We are not alone.
I started out this election cycle a life-long Democrat. I considered myself a moderate with liberal tendencies. As embarrassing as it is to admit, I once thought Joe Biden was the best Democratic choice. His foreign policy experience seemed a correct fit for the dangerous world we live in. I also flirted with the notion of John Edwards. I agree with him that there are at least two Americas. But he proved a flawed candidate. He put on a good show that in the end proved to be nothing more than a show.
And then there was Hillary. I loved her command of the issues and willingness to continue fighting when it was apparent that the DNC and their media allies did everything they could possibly do to shut her down. Calls for her to withdraw by less successful candidates and other losers. For the sake of the party and all.
Then there was May 31st. A day that changed everything for me.
On that day the Democratic National Committee violated it's own Charter by holding a secret meeting. And used the occasion to declare that Florida and Michigan voters were half citizens. Other imaginary half citizens in Michigan somehow voted for a candidate who wasn't even on the ballot. 4 real delegates were stolen from Hillary and given to that other guy. And thus the birth of his illegitimacy.
Democracy from within the Democratic party died that day for me. Hillary bowing out was merely a formality after that. Even though I fought for her all of the way.
A sad day for PUMAs. The Perot Effect did not materialize.
Why not stick around? FR is the best breaking news / politics site there is. We have a lot of fun in NON election years, too. Maybe more fun, come to think of it.
Those of us who are not giddy today and are reflecting on the election and politics will be ready to greet the masses when the giddiness effect rubs off.
I think the rules say you have to be here at least six months before you get to have an opus.

If you stand for each person’s right to liberty, freedom to prosper, and security for a peacefully life, I am proud you stood with us, regardless of you previous choice. If you choose to leave, pick your allies carefully, one battle has ended and another has just begun.

I kept telling people when Bill Clinton slithered in to office, and clung to it, despite all the scandals, and Impeachment itself-- “He's just a symptom. Like a fever is of a disease- there's something wrong with America.”
Like Popular Culture- look at the magazines-- I call it “thugs & jugs,” or “which Pop Tart is popping out whose baby this week?”
Or Katrina- ever seen so many people milling around with their hands out, when they should have been helping themselves?
We did it to ourselves, and The New, Improved Black Jesus is merely a symptom.
All civilizations have a shelf life- once enough citizens figure out that by electing the “right” representatives, they can use the power of the government to pick the pockets of others,
...it's all over, except for the details.
Well, we're in the “details,” now.
Meanwhile, I have to figure out what Miss Emily and I do with what's left of our lives, and bush hog her Mom's old place in the country, because City Life isn't going to be worth living from here on out.

Lot of intelligent analysis on that PUMA site but sadly they don’t see Hillary for what she really is —a corrupt evil mean marxist —They ought to ask the Travel Office —Kathleen Wiley and Juanita Broaderick what they think of the Clintons etc etc
They are blinded by her being a female
Ironic that the Clintons were done by the very Race card they used for 8 years against the GOP
No president ever pandered more to the blacks than the Clintons
