This is by far the shortest and best vanity in awhile.

Where are comments such as ‘Election is not for sale’, that usually came from the Dims?

Wow... I thought McCain-Feingold was supposed to reduce the amount of money in politics.

Why — is that what it will cost to make the three or four largest democrat cities disappear?

Not necessarily, it really is going to depend on the grassroots. A movement, if it starts early and has the right hook, can overcome a billion dollars of ads.

Yep, thanks to McCain-Feingold, money is not the driving influence in politics. /s

I like dogs, especially border terriers. Sometimes they howl real cool.

ROFL...look once the big “O’s” policies and plans for civilian national service are implemented, and the youth realizes what they signed up for, it may take three years but I suspect SOME DEMS may just want the hell out...so it might be easy election.

Wouldn’t it be cheaper to enforce the law regarding contributions?

I save a little every month to donate to conservaitves come election time. If Jindal or Sarah are the candidates I’ll max out like I did with Bush in the primaries and the general.

Obama is already fundraising for his re-election bid. He’ll have a cool billion in the bank, I presume.

That, plus the need for about $2 Billion worth of favorable and fawning press coverage over 4 years to level the field.

Lets ask George Bush for a piece of the “Bail Out” money before he leaves. I mean what is a puny little Billion Dollars?

This expense and length of time spent in the campaign are both absurd and dangerous. Both Jindal and Palin are people of modest means. Would they have to "sell their souls" to become President. Actually, I'd like to see a clean and informative six month campaign. Of course, I'd also like to win the lottery.

The changes necessary to change the current system all have serious constitutional problems. Just now, I am sitting back wondering if George Soros just bought himself a President.

If Soros did, he sent the funds through Dubai and other ME locations. Could he expect to remain anonymous under such circumstances? I don’t think so. Someone or soemthing else purchased the presidency, as it currently stands. If the little squirrel cannot be forced to show proof he is Constitutionally qualified to run, then he and his henchghouls like Rahmbo Emanuel appear to be running the world for the next four years.
