If John McCain during the second debate was, as Mark Steyn famously called him, Yosemite Sam when the dynamite failed to go off, the post-election Barack Obama is shaping up to be Daffy Duck.
Like Daffy, he is not suffering from a self-esteem deficit. As he announced early in the campaign, “we are the ones we’ve been waiting for!” When he made his acceptance speech, he was careful to remove anyone who might detract attention from himself, like his running mate and his family.
But things often go awry for Daffy, despite his supreme confidence. And Obama got off to a great start, personally insulting the elderly first lady of a revered president in his first press conference as president-elect. Usually, a president is inaugurated before he has to start issuing apologies, but it would seem the “change” has already started in that regard.
That misstep was quickly followed by Obama basically calling the president of Poland a liar over whether or not the U.S. will abandon our ally by pulling support for a proposed missile defense system to protect Poland from invasion from Russ…err…a missile from Iran. Meanwhile, Obama had no such dispute with Russian president Medvedev. Presumably, the two agree on the fate of Poland.
Of course, all this could actually be part of a brilliant plan. For example, the plan could be to make Jimmy Carter look like an effective, visionary president. Not to worry, Obama supporters: now with the appointment of Rahm Emanuel as chief of staff, anyone noticing anything not going so smoothly will be called vulgar names.
Given the start to his post-election honeymoon, probably the best strategy the Republican might find available is to convince Obama that it is, in fact, duck season. He just might fall for it.

Daffy Duck was “daffy”, but he was a lot smarter that obama.
However, on the cockiness level, they are equal.
Let's face it after 8 years of Bush Derangement Syndrome from the msm we need to have a 4 year rest of demonizing the president to “Something completely different,” as the Monty Python crew would say. So every blunder, misspeak, catastrophe and crisis will be heralded as an Obama masterful stroke of brilliance.

The one has been making apologizes since he started his campaign! Every week it was someone else he was throwing under the bus!
Good point. His bus managed to get traction by all the people under the wheels!
But then, it's more like they were "bought" and I guess there are many that are willing to sell out their Country for a price!
