Here is remarkable raw footage of combat over and across the French and German countryside during World War II following the D-Day Invasion in June 1944. The film was shot by Albert Fagler who lived through those days as an Army Combat Photographer. The film was found by his grandchildren in the basement of his home in Colorado following his recent death. The film is silent but dramatic as it shows a taste of what those brave Americans experienced to preserve freedom for our nation, and give freedom to millions in Europe. . . . (Watch Video)

My Dad was a WWII Vet and an avid amateur photographer. He took hundreds, if not thousands of shots from bootcamp, to D-Day through the Battle of the Bulge and beyond. I have several hundred of his snapshots.
Remembering all the vets on this national holiday.

Thank you for the post ...remembering today The Greatest Generation ... many WWII vets are dying off now quickly. May God Bless them that are left and those that paid the ultimate price back then, and all the vets who have ever served this nation.
Thank goodness for the P51 Mustang ...it helped save a lot of lives to shorten the war and get us into Normandy much quicker....think about having been delayed and continued Nazi weapon development programs.

How quick we have fallen to have been as such a peak 60 years ago to electing a Consitution hating Marxist today. :-(
It is so heartbreaking that I bet we lost more of our veterans last week than we normally do. I know of 2.
