A disaster awaits us, one more devastating and detrimental to our existence than anything we have before encountered. While Obama sits in Chicago picking over the rancid carcass of the Clinton administration in hopes of finding another stooge to fill his cabinet, to our south a storm is brewing. The Russian Bear, now fully awakened from its decades long hibernation, is once again seeking to extend its influence and military might into the western hemisphere. The danger we face from the sinful alliance between the Russians and that criminal Chaves poses a threat not only to US hegemony in our own hemisphere but to or nation as a whole. What concerns me most is this: How will Obama react to the threat posed by such an unholy alliance we see developing in such close proximity to our own border? If his ill-considered response to the most recent episode of Russian aggression in Georgia is any indication, uncertainty and obfuscation are the only weapons he is able to wield in our defense....

2) Send Hollywood people like Angelina to Russia to reason with Putin and Medvedev and then pose prettily for a photo op
3) Promise to hand over money to bribe them to be nice to America
4) Bend over
5) Whip the press into a patriotic frenzy and send troops over to Russia to die, right before winter
6) Hide in Presidential bunker
7) Discuss surrender procedures with the French
Actually, I see the Obama/Russia situation as the exact opposite of this article's take.
A disaster awaits us: The Affirmative Action President will take office on January 20, 2009, which will be a disaster unless a miracle or major threat saves us. Our greatest hope is that the Russian Bear will rise as a deadly threat and that in the face of a Russian danger, the adults in the Democrat party will force Obama and his socialists to defer the "change" that they "hope" for. Go, Putin, go!
We are in for some power gains by our enemies with the weak and apologetic Great One Obama.
Thirty years from now, we'll all get together and talk about the continuing damage from the Obama administration, just like we're doing for the Carter administration.

Pootie and his minions can intend anything they like, their economy is in the tank and sinking fast and dang it, imperialism costs money. Their trick during the Cold War was to get the victims to fund it, but as a nascent Oil State they can’t do that anymore, the money just isn’t there. What’s a despot to do?
Yes, I loved the movie, Red Dawn. I think it would be true if America was occupied—many would collaborate but many would fight. America would be a hard nation to enslave.
