Global warming hysteria is making front page news over at MSNBC.com. Actually, maybe it is no longer hysteria. Global warming is the new issue of the 21st century, and provides a whole array of ways the governments of the world can steal more money from the sheeple. What a great way to make money to finance their and their friends greed!

Last I checked, the "rich" countries are in enormous debt, a financial catastrophe threatening the return of the next Great Depression. Last I checked, we were pretty damned poor. Nonetheless, in this twisted Wonderland World, Alden Meyer, the head lobbyist for the Union of Concerned so-called Scientists whines about the rich countries (namely, you) being unwilling to pony up the costs for transforming the world and forcing people to comply to the demands of the new god of green.
Meyer said wealthy industrial countries need to slash emissions, transfer green technology to developing countries and provide funding to help them adapt now to the climate changes already under way, such as rising sea levels and harsher weather patterns."That's the shared vision," Meyer said. "The reason we can't get it is because the Bush administration has refused to put on the table any meaningful target and any meaningful financial package from the U.S." MSNBC.com:

flood the markets with stuff made cheap and destroy the economic base of your enemy.
a little bribing high elected officials helps speed the process too.
Repeat as needed.
oh, and impose a tax for breathing too.
