Why Do They Hate Sarah So? By Frank Diamond, For The Bulletin 12/10/2008
This might be a good time for a calm, objective assessment of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin. Mrs. Palin visited Philadelphia last week for a discussion about the economy sponsored by the National Governors Association. President-elect Barack Obama spoke at the event that couldn't avoid conjuring the ghosts of campaign 2008, which were dispelled, we thought for good, more than a month ago. Foolish us for underestimating the pull of celebrity on American life. The election, after all, produced two genuine political stars and I am not referring to Sen. John McCain or Vice-President-elect Joe Biden.
However, throughout the campaign neither Mrs. Palin nor Mr. Obama received the sort of deliberative examination that the public deserves. The media was too determined to elect Mr. Obama and destroy Mrs. Palin. The measured voices that took on the vetting task in some of the more erudite journals could not break through the din of partisanship and rancor.
That's a shame, because it would be worthwhile to review Mrs. Palin's record as the chief executive of our largest state (by area) to try to understand her place in the Republican party, and the conservative movement - not always the same thing. We know that she's a pro-lifer who walks the walk, choosing to have her baby Trig, who has Down syndrome, when she easily and quietly could have done what 90 percent of women in her situation do when faced with such a reality: have an abortion. We know that she's pro-military (her son Track is serving in Iraq) and favors drilling off our shores and in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.
So far, so good.

the People's Republic of MSNBC reported that Mrs. Palin is so dimwitted that she believed that Africa was a country. The network cited blogger Martin Eisenstadt as the source. The problem is that Mr. Eisenstadt doesn't exist. He is a hoax engineered by filmmakers Eitan Gorlin and Dan Mirvish. Other leftist outlets, such as the Los Angeles Times and the New Republic, also fell for the trick.
That was no trick. It was a deliberate - and successful - misinformation campaign by The Left.
It matters not that the report was a hoax. The damage was done, because The Sheep (always the intended target, and not Palin) believed it.
Pennsylvania Ping?
OH, WOW... The Bulletin was my family's newspaper when I was a kid in South Jersey (we're talking the late Jurassic here...). I delivered The Bulletin as a teenager for years. I never thought of it as "conservative" -- it was just the best paper around, period. ;-)

Simple: Fear.
She’s the MOST LIKEABLE since Reagan. She’d beat any of the current LOSER DC Beltway crowd in a LANDSLIDE.
It’s great that it’s back. In fact I think it’s been back for several years. They don’t advertise much, if it all and it’s very hard to find. The best place to look for it is in center city. It’s definitely conservative. Look at the front page and compare it to the Inquirer . You won’t believe the difference.
And there you have the root of it. And then there is Joe the Plumber. If we can't be shut up, we must be destroyed.
They hate Governor Palin for the same reasons they hated Governor Reagan. Any real person who isn’t an effete phony they hate. Sarah seems to have the thick skin of Reagan, who was unfailingly nice in the face of hostility and never missed a beat.
You betch.
Yep....we’re all next, ya know....one way or another, this gang is going to do their best to stop our free speech.
Why do they hate her? Because she will kill animals to eat but won’t kill a child.
That is a very keen observation. I never thought of it exactly like that, but you are absolutely correct.
The paper has this at that top: Res Ipsa Loquitur. My Latin in almost nil, but I looked it up. In means "The facts speak for themselves." Perhaps they actually do present the facts.
Because the moonbats piss themselves at the mention of her name.
Today’s headlines...what would your first thought be?
“Palin, other US governors sent suspicious powder.”

Sarah Palin is the kind of woman, who generations before her, built this country - smart, tough, family oriented, and able to face reality without blinking. In addition, she has something extra, a warmth and optimism that lights up any room.
There are several biblical passages that tell us why they hate her (and us).
2 Cor 2:14-17
1 John 4:1-6
Titus 1:15
Look ‘em up, it’s good for you.
