Nonprofit Bailout included in Stimulus Package
Capital Research Center ^ | January 16, 2009 | Matthew Vadum

Posted on 01/16/2009 11:39:42 AM PST by vadum

Left-of-center nonprofits are getting the bailout they wanted from the U.S. government, the Chronicle of Philanthropy reports. The news comes a month after Independent Sector president Diana Aviv demanded it.

Our lawmakers are intent on pissing away billions of dollars on utterly useless giveaways to their supporters in the liberal nonprofit establishment. The money will have virtually no positive impact on the economy, except perhaps that it might bolster employment at nonprofit groups.

One of the more egregious line items is the $1 billion allocation for community development block grants (CDBG). These are slush funds that liberal groups like La Raza and ACORN use to subsidize their operations.

People who work for the bureaucratic, unproductive non-profit organizations are almost always Democrats. Gotta feed the base.

Salvation Army. Southern Baptist Relief Fund.

They don’t waste the money.

I have just contacted my Congressmen regarding this horribly biased (and ultimately wasteful) spending.

If this is true and comes to pass, it will indeed be time to revolt and take back our government.

Some of the best charities may never see a penny from the government.

A charity is not the same as a non-profit, necessarily. The orgs being aided with this bailout have political agendas. In fact, they are based on "free money," foundation grants, government grants, etc.

Take, for example, the Social Public Art Resource Project (SPARC) here in L.A. They have painted murals all over SoCal, bursting with communist/socialist images, revisionist history of "oppression," etc. This is part of the brainwashing of the college students and the working poor. They are masters of accumulating grants from public and private sources. They are the "zapatistas" who threw rocks and bottles at police two years ago, while protesting in behalf of illegals. My guess is they are going to get a piece of this pie also.

Housing Push for Hispanics Spawns Wave of Foreclosures

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2158772/posts?page=58#58

“With so little attention being given to the TRUTH about how this crisis came about in the first place...we are certain to be repeating it. Even as we speak, I’ll bet mortgages will continue to be given to INELIGIBLE poor (Section 8s) and ‘minorities’ (illegal aliens)in order prevent, they will say, further foreclosures. The bailout ‘fix’ is only going to postpone the inevitable.”

Of COURSE, bailout money will work it’s way to LaRaza!!! We pander to illegals and our economy fails....

President Calls for Expanding Opportunities to Home Ownership
http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2002/06/20020617-2.html

So, how do we fix the problem...ignore the cause and shhhsh the media so we can continue to pander to and bailout illegals. Glad we learned from our mistakes and solved THAT problem.

At least you admit it. I remember (it seems anyway) that half of the members were clamoring for the bailout at the time it was being debated. Bush has just laid the groundwork for the socialist empire to be ushered in. Let’s be honest, the Bushes, Clintons, Kennedys, etc. are the ruling oligarchy in America. Obama appears to be a front for the Clinton faction, and he’s going to finish what Bush started.

If the bailout had truly been limited to the credit markets to get things rolling again, and the failed lending policies would have been fixed as part of the plan, I would still back it.

They lied to us. I suckered for it. And over other people’s objections, I supported the bailout.

I was wrong. I can’t believe what they are doing. And I’ll have to add, it’s incredible to see folks defend Bush as a good president.

At some point you even have to look at him and say I was wrong when I argued that he was a good man. You don’t lie to people and take advantage of them if you are a good man.

On some level, this guy is anything but a good man.

Look at what is taking place, the trillions being tossed every which way. And now Obama has permission to do the same thing.

Bush even suggested we should sign on to the LOST treaty. Just damn!
