How to Deceive the Very Elect

The connection between politics and eschatology (Christ’s second coming) is little known to all but a few today. This enables many whacky and sometimes dangerous political figures to slip in un-noticed by a slumbering and apostate church. That even those politicians don’t know the role they are playing offers little consolation. How can we avoid this?

Between Hollywood, the new craze for Christian novels (fiction) and the old series of “Left Behind” flicks the average person, Christian or not, has been shown a picture of last day’s figures and personalities that is anything but accurate.

Pictures of the antichrist and the false prophet, the major players in the last days, range from dark robed characters leading an all new religion to a leader with 666 tattooed somewhere on his head. Not even close!

The remainder of the title of the article is “Eschatological Gobbledygook” — which is exactly what the article, itself, sounds like.

The Antichrist will not be an American politician, but rather the “Assyrian” as the Bible says, and sounds a lot more like the Islamic “Mahdi” than it does anyone in the Congress (of the United States). He will be dealing with Israel, and not with American political issues. He will stand in the Temple in Jerusalem, declaring himself to be God, not standing in Congress making a “State of the Union”... LOL...

This article is confused and doesn’t help anyone...

I suggest the connection between politics and scatology (the study of animal fecal matter) is stronger and more obvious.
