One would never guess that America is experiencing one of the worst recessions in history. Considering the legislation being passed on the federal level and proposals being made on the state level, one would think that Americans are enjoying tremendous excesses and the government simply wants to partake.
Yesterday, Obama signed into law the SCHIP modifications that would expand coverage to more children. The pitfalls of this legislation are too numerous to list, the burden on the taxpayer is growing. Under the new applicants will no longer have to provide social security numbers when filing for aid, thereby allowing illegals to freely and openly claim taxpayer funded health insurance. To finance this brilliant piece of work federal taxes on tobacco are going up by .62 cents. Massachusetts residents already make the trip to New Hampshire to buy tobacco, but for those not wanting to make the drive SCHIP will provide the necessary incentives. In short, a group of Americans will be asked to finance the health insurance of illegal immigrants and "children" up to 19 years old. Starting to miss Bush a bit? (He vetoed this twice)

I don’t mind you pimping your blog, but if you’re going to parade your literary talents, how about learning the difference between a “vice” and a “vise”?
Thank you
Shouldn’t that be “Vise?”
I appreciate you allowing me to pimp my blog and since the subject is of my literary talent then surely you would know that a vice is anything that can be considered moral depravity, aka alcohol, tobacco, etc.
No, thank you!
Time to trump them. Announce that 1-2 cos. will NOT ship their cigs. into Mass. and NY. Let these state govts shop the world for a supply of tobacco and be responsible for sales and other operations. Millions from these 2 states could go out of state easily to buy smokes, etc. Nail em.
I guess the word play is not as obvious as I hoped.
Deval is trying to get NH businesses to collect the MA Sales Tax on items that MA residents buy up there. That’s why they’re called “Massholes”.
Ah, I see you were being clever.
My bad.
“trying” being the definitive word I suppose, if the effect of which is people thinking I can’t spell then I failed miserably.
I know of a people personally that use cash to avoid these collections. Is he trying to do something further than just credit card checks?
I like the way you think!!!
speeding our way to “buyers remorse” tilt
