Ensign is doing everything right lately, and as a result he is making all the right enemies. Recently, Ensign again angered just about every Democrat in D.C. by actually trying to keep people in their homes while creating a springboard for new buyers to enter the market. He proposed reducing the mortgage interest rate to between 4-4.5% for those who qualify. This would have had tremendous impact on the housing market in a positive way, but the Democrats showed they clearly are not on the side of fixing housing.
Today Ensign has continued to anger everyone who is on board with the stimulus plan. His staunch opposition to the socialist bill is well known, and it is clear he is one of the few who is actually looking out for the American people. This time he's ruffling feathers by demanding that the final stimulus talks be aired in their entirety on national television for all of us to see. The reason for this is so that the average American can actually learn what they are getting in the bill, and how wasteful it really is.
Ensign's staunch opposition to the stimulus bill is forcing many of its GOP supporters out of the shadows ... most recently our Governor Gibbons.

Some one needs to slap dirty Harry senseless. Well, if we have no justice here, we can always count on God’s justice. When these bad actors and cheats someday get to the pearly gates, they will have to explain all of their past dealings.
What a blessed place Heaven will be, with no dirty-lying liberals.

It’s always amazing to me how people can turn away from a godly way of living and interacting with others.
Maybe Harry Reid was decent before he got into politics.. I don’t know. Washington can do stuff to people. All the more amazing that Pres. Bush (though not perfect for his wrong stances on illegal immigration and the bailouts!) stuck to his convictions and to God’s word, when it came to issues of right to life for the unborn, and for fighting for justice of those oppressed overseas, like in Afghanistan and Iraq. And Bush is a deeply faithful, good man, and one who you could trust to keep his word.
What we have now for “leadership” in Washington is depressing.
