It's not quite clear what Barack Obama's terrorist pal has against Robert Byrd, but one thing is certain: The New York Times can't get enough of this crackpot.
First there was his impeccably timed September 11, 2001 column where he said he didn't regret being a terrorist. Then the Times so graciously gave him op-ed space again this past December where he played the victim for being called a terrorist.
Now he'll be getting the full NY Times Magazine treatment this Sunday.

Sarah Palin once accused Barack Obama of “palling around with terrorists,” a catchphrase intended to highlight Obama’s connection to former Weather Underground member Bill Ayers.
Now that the campaign rhetoric has subsided, Ayers has an idea for a new show starring his Alaskan nemesis.
“I did send her a note after the election,” he says of Palin in the upcoming issue of the New York Times magazine. “I suggested that we have a talk show together called ‘Pallin’ Around With Sarah and Bill.’ I haven’t heard back.”

The SDS office in Chicago was just blocks for the BPP office. The BPP newsletter was printed on an SDS printing press.
When Fred Hampton wanted posters for a rally for a Panther killed by police in a shoot out, they called on the SDS to make them. When SDS told Hampton they were out of supplies and money to buy any, Hampton came over with some panthers and beat Ayers and the others with 2 by 4s.
Ayers rationalized that experiment with reality as he deserved the beatdown because he had benefited from “white privilege”. So nothing had changed aith Ayers. He's still the violent radical airhead he was in the 60s and 70s. The "peace movement" didn't pick peaceful leaders. Time and time again, they were advised not to pick their smartest people as leaders, but to pick the most violent, the ones who WANTED to fight the cops. That's because they believed that violent action was better intelligent protest.
