When the jack-booted thugs show up to squash your rights, the person you turn to in times of need for spiritual guidance may not be on your side. That's right... FEMA is training pastors and clergy to help "control" their congregations during martial law. This report from KSLA is chilling. Clergy "may help government with their biggest problem...us."

Why are they even talking about martial law? Is ‘bambi going to start a war here?
Romans 13 does not require us to cooperate with unjust laws. When the law of Caesar conflicts with the law of God, we are to peacefully refuse to comply with the law of Caesar, then humbly submit ourselves to whatever punishments the courts deem just.
Any law that denies a human being the right to self-defense is by nature null and void, and need not be obeyed.

You know what I think this is? It’s Editor’s Choice to air this stuff or not on KSLA. The State of Louisiana has every right to fear given Hurrican Katrina the the gov’ts response but here we have a piece that’s playing on people’s fears because of the response time by FEMA. Joe Biden’s “prediction” of Obummer being called to task to address ANY national emergency also plays into the video to shape public opinion but it’s not directly attacking Obummers credibility to handle such a situation. Pandering to fear in the American public, yes, pandering to the White House, yes, but thank gawd Cynthia McKinney isn’t in on this one.

That was news to me. I found two sources: About.com and Wikipedia. It seems there have been several legislative changes following Hurricane Katrina.
We have complex legalisms and it's late and I'm tired. Maybe a lawyer out there can tell us if the law is still in effect. Can the Commander in Chief direct Army and other Services to operate within the United States to “suppress an insurrection?”

Recent legislative events
On September 26, 2006, President Bush urged Congress to consider revising federal laws so that the U.S. military could seize control immediately in the aftermath of a natural disaster, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.
These changes were included in the John Warner National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2007 (H.R. 5122), which was signed into law on Oct 17, 2006, subsequently repealed in their entirety.[2]
Section 1076 is titled “Use of the Armed Forces in major public emergencies”. It provided that:
The President may employ the armed forces... to... restore public order and enforce the laws of the United States when, as a result of a natural disaster, epidemic, or other serious public health emergency, terrorist attack or incident, or other condition... the President determines that... domestic violence has occurred to such an extent that the constituted authorities of the State or possession are incapable of maintaining public order... or [to] suppress, in a State, any insurrection, domestic violence, unlawful combination, or conspiracy if such... a condition... so hinders the execution of the laws... that any part or class of its people is deprived of a right, privilege, immunity, or protection named in the Constitution and secured by law... or opposes or obstructs the execution of the laws of the United States or impedes the course of justice under those laws.[3]
The actual text is on pages 322–323 of the legislation.
As of 2008, these changes have been repealed in their entirety, reverting to the previous wording of the Insurrection Act.

Disobedience to tyrants is obedience to God.
So many people willing to give up all of their liberties and dignity just so they wont have to think and work for their self.

It’s disconcerting that so many of our fellow conservatives on the forums think we’re ‘crazy uncles in the attic’ when we point out the excesses this Obama administration and the path they’re trying to take us down.
