Mitt Romney on "Hannity" discussing the Obama stimulus package, and America's economic future. Aired 2/26/09 on Fox News.

Hannity and Romney explain, in a nut shell, why Obamanomics is lethal to America!

Indeed, a frightening reality!

The Obama budget will destroy the dollar; destroy capitalism, and destroy America.

Support a Republican Revolution in the 2010 Congressional elections! It's the only way to protect our future!

Conservatives can whine and moan all they want, but like one caller to Rush said today, when they had majorities in Congress, they did nothing. Now step back and watch while the other side makes full use of its power.

Romney, again, has Obama in the crosshairs. I miss ya’, Mittster. Keep the heat on, and just maybe some of our wimps in the Senate will begin growing a pair.

Thank God for me like DeMint and Sessions...

This seems like an absurd complaint to me. By "doing nothing", you seem to mean that they let America continue to live and progress according to it's traditional means. So now Obama is seizing America by the throat and choking the life out of it, so the Republicans should have done it while they had the chance?

Conservatives know Obama’s plan is a death warrant for the Republic. It undermines capitalism, freedom, not to mention tramples on the Constitution.

We don't need some Johnny-Come-Lately, faux conservative like Romney, jumping on board for the ride. Besides, his supporters are nothing but pseudo cons and sell-outs to the conservative cause.

The could have cut govt, cut spending, pushed for a simplified tax code..etc. Basically continue where Reagan left off.

I wonder if the harm Obama is doing is reversible. Let’s say we win back the WH and House and Senate (tall order), can we at least roll it back to the point when Bush left office ? If there are items in the bill that have not been spent on by the time Obama is booted out of office, can those items be removed by the next administration ?

“...when they had majorities in Congress, they did nothing.”

I totally agree.

Now, we get to observe how a real political party with a mission handles things.

Conservatives are lame-ass “defenders of the constitution”.

As well, we’ll get to watch them put up a non-defense to 0bama.

They won’t do darn thing, as usual.

The only question is: What the heck are they conserving anymore?

We know they are “above” a proactive defense of our freedom.

That can’t get to 0bama’s rear-end fast enough, it seems.

The smooch heard ‘round the world.

“He’s so popular, we can’t oppose him now.”

“We have to become a kinder, gentler party.”

“We have to hide our white male-ness because diversity trumps principle every time.”

“We have to court illegals cuz they are coming here in such big numbers to pay for the spending orgy happening on the other side of the isle. What right do we have to stop them?”

“They do jobs that Americans ‘won’t do’.”

I could go on all night.

Any REAL conservative couldn’t possibly be happy about what the right has been up to the past eight years.

Besides, I blame the right for this whole mess.

The left isn’t disappointing—they’re acting just like we knew they would.

The real right is missing in action.

“Is he not the one who started socialized medicine in Mass.?”

Let’s end this RIGHT NOW, k?
He DID NOT start it, but he did co-opt it, AND MAKE IT MUCH SMALLER and more sane than the Universal state-funded proposal that was being rammed through the statehouse, supported by MILLIONS in outside advertising dollars from the the usual leftist suspects.

Yes indeed. Romney also rejected Reaganism, the Contract With America and the GOP. RomneyCare was a public/private venture that is the first step on the road to socialized medicine.

I have never been a fan of Mitt! Anyone here knows I was a Rudy person.

That said, Mitt is an economist and I do respect his opnion on that.

Call it pandering for votes in 2012, whatever, he speaks succinctly on the problems facing us now.

Right now I would rather have him in office saving our retirement, than the asshole in chief!

You won’t find your common sense approach working with the “cut off your head to save your azz” list of regulars on the Romney threads.

I am with Mitt on this one. Miss Mitt. Too bad so many FREEPERS were so hard on Mitt. Atleast he is a principled man. I personally think he would have made the perfect president for this time. He knows economics and has turned bad businesses around before and Lord knows America is one bad business getting worse right now. He believes in capitalism. John McCain was an idiot on economics.

"Conservatives can whine and moan all they want, but ..., when they had majorities in Congress, they did nothing."

Health Care is a huge issue. The cost of prescription drugs was truly causing seniors to lower their standard of living and/or have an earlier death. Many Conservatives bash Bush over Part D prescription coverage, but A plan was needed and Bush got something passed that still utilized the private sector to solve a problem. Now, with Obama, you are really going to have spending to complain about, and it will rely on more government and minimal free market.

I believe in maximizing free market solutions, alone or with government, to solve major, basic human problems (LIFE, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness), but I believe in solving the problems. Conservatives need to provide specific solutions for solving problems, even if they cost money (the military costs money!). Maximize the benefits of the free market, but solve the problems.

Remember the success of the "Contract With America"; We cannot spend our time defending the free market but fail show how free market forces can solve problems. Recognize real problems and offer free market solutions.

It isn’t just seniors - add in anyone with children, a chronic illness or a serious illness such as cancer. McCain’s health plan was a lot better than universal health care. I was sorry to see it get so little attention during the campaign (or at least that I noticed).

This title would work too:

Describes his abortion-funding, budget-busting, big government healthcare boondoggle.
