Barack Obama may subject US troops to International Criminal Court

They are feeling good just now at The Hague, as the judges and pen-pushers of the International Criminal Court (ICC) adjourn to smart restaurants to celebrate the latest gesture-politics flexing of their muscles by issuing an arrest warrant for Omar al Bashir, the President of Sudan. They are feeling less good in Darfur, from which 10 international aid agencies were expelled in retaliation within four hours of the ICC initiative, cutting food supplies and closing clinics. One man's ego trip is another man's starvation.
But the people who should be feeling really nervous about this development are the citizens of the United States and more especially their armed forces. The signs are that the grandstanding Barack Obama is preparing to subject the United States to the jurisdiction of the ICC. In May, 2002 President Bush withdrew the United States from the Rome Statute which established the ICC. With America heading into global conflict, he had no wish to see US troops arraigned for alleged war crimes before a kangaroo court.
That was a wise decision and probably required in terms of the US Constitution. Already, however, the Obama administration is sending out very different messages. America helped defeat a proposal that the warrant for Bashir should be suspended for 12 months - which would

The ICC is has frightening implications for our military as well as for all of us as citizens of the USA. The ICC is an attempt to override the laws of individual nations (including their constitutions) with respect to the actions of all citizens that have 'bearing' on international (multi-national) interests. This means, in effect, replacing (or worse unifying) all concepts of law (natural law, mosaic law, sharia law, marxist law) by a hodge-podge of political law motivated to give to the UN international control of our foreign policies and statutes. Realize that the UN is rapidly becoming an Islamic-dominated body. The result will be the ultimate goal of Islam: International Sharia Law.
Fight this with all of strength and resources!!!

You can safely draw a line through the may part in the headline. He hates this country's military IMO. His words and actions have been rather clear.

With Obama leading a kangaroo Administration this was a no brainer. Just one of many steps Obama is taking to destroy the effectiveness of the United States Military.
We willbe lucky to have any militaryb left by the time we get this idiot out of office...

Fortunately he won't play long. King Charles I of England discovered you can screw with the troops only so long, and that situation, BTW, is in this country's history!
It's very easy to understand this reference by identifying Lord Digby with Rahm Emanuel ~ they're both pretty much the same in personality type, but also in mistaken beliefs about "the other side", or which way to flee!

The ICC is has frightening implications for our military as well as for all of us as citizens of the USA. Here's one for you. ICC = No protection from ex post facto laws or habeus corpus. No Bill of Rights protections like due process, no self-incrimination, double jeopardy or rights against search and seizure.
ICC's Marshal shows up to accused individual's home. "We're here to search for evidence. No warrant needed."
