Rush Limbaugh's Radio Audience Grows to 25 Million Strong - Video 3/6/09
Freedom's Lighthouse ^ | March 7, 2009 | BrianinMO

Here is video from last night's Hardball with Chris Matthews, where Matthews reports that Rush Limbaugh's listening audience has exploded from 14 million to 25 million since his speech at CPAC and attacks on him by the White House, this according to Talkers Magazine.

Now, I think Rush's audience was larger than 14 million prior to the attacks. Rush has said for a long time his audience is in the 20-22 million range, if I remember correctly. But 25 million does represent a jump no matter how you look at it. The more people hear Rush's common sense conservatism, the more minds will eventually be changed. . . . . . (Watch Video)

I saw part of that speech and it was great. I’d become a little cynical about Rush. I thought he’d become a little soft on the libs and a little distracted from the goal of deflating liberalism not just debating it. The left have made a mistake in trying to label him the new leader of the Republican party. They thought it would reflect badly on Republicans when the fact has been for some time that if Republicans were half as principled and vocal as many in talk Radio the left wouldn’t have a chance.

I have a low talk radio tolerance level, but Rush has been a blast every since McCain got the nomination, and the more the dimwitted, establishment Republicans, all twenty or so of them, get their undies knotted up, the better Rush gets. This little divide and conquer ploy by leftnuts is going blow up in their face.

The more MSM tries to diminish Rush, the more his listeners increase.

Poetic justice?

I think so.

I’ve listened more to Rush in the past few months than ever before, maybe a couple of hours a week. Still, that’s all it takes to get a pretty good grounding in the principles of conservatism. Now that he’s become “forbidden fruit”, I’m sure others who may start just out of curiosity may find themselves changing some of their views.

I listen to Rush and have for 20 years. I really enjoy the politics. There is no one better. The NFL and cigars get old for me personally. If I want to talk sports I’ll listen to Jim Romme. If I want cigars......don’t know who else talks about cigars.

I have not been able to post anything for a long time, because I just can't figure out the posting stuff. It will never let me post.

Anway, please everyone go over to PowerLine and click on the audio of Kathleen Stewart singing a little jazz number called "It Ain't Your Money to Spend".

Rush is the new/old leader of the Conservative Party in this country, and that is what Obama and Crew are a skeered of. - Rush IS in many ways an innocent, sort of like the Road Runner and Wiley Coyote. He just keeps on beeping along a mile a minute and someone keeps on looking out for him in an almost supernatural way.
