What in the world is wrong with me? Last week the water was partially shut off at my dog park in liberal rich Hollywood FL. My lab mix will not drink at the park unless he can do it from a kiddie pool so I ended up using a bucket at the water fountain to try to fill the pool at least a bit. A lady who is very nice but wore an Obama shirt both before and after the election tried to help me.
Mind you I like her dogs and as I said she is nice, but still I refused her help purely on instinct. Somehow, I feel that I could have handled this better. What do we do, attempt to reason with them? Ask them if they are happy with their choice? Or simply shun them? I really do not know.
I am going to run into this day after day since I am in Broward County FL. If there is some way to change minds and hearts, please help me out. What do you say to these fools who put us in this horrible situation?
Have you considered learning Spanish and shipping out to the socialist heavens of Cuba and Venezuela?

Have you ever tried to get a woman to admit she was wrong? If you ever succeed let me know the trick. I gave up years ago. The only success with women is you have to let them figure it out then LOOK OUT!!

You could always focus on your shared love of dogs and not bring up politics. There are far more interesting and important topics to discuss in life than mere politics.
You see, they run on emotions... so, wht you do is build a bit of an emotional bond (friendship) and then, when something makes you mad/sad/angry place it into their language.
There’s a phrase I have to counter the “take everything from the rich” idea that’s being pushed as ‘social justice’ today: “But isn’t ‘social justice’, without the justice, just social?”
That opens the door to showing them that “social justice,” if it is to exist at all, must be done in the realm of justice; you can’t just take away someone’s property because you’re envious or because they’re a horrible person.

Remind them of the horrors that they have visited upon our nation.
Tell them that you forgive them, because you realize that the lobotomy procedure they suffered, had removed the critical thinking parts of their brains.
And then plead with them to never set foot in a voting both again.
To the few that I know, I say I told you so, every chance I get, so now they pretty much stay away from me. Except my brothers girlfriend, because I live with him, but she never liked me anyway.
I've always been curious just how bad living in Cuba would be. Now I can find out without having to learn Spanish!

Honestly I would let her assume what she wishes about you. If she assumes you’re a linberal and finds out otherwise at a later date, she may learn something.
Have you considered that anyone who uses the kiddie pool for its intended purpose might be saying the same about you?
(Oh; Advise them that politics can ruin a beautiful relationship...if they can't adapt, then shun them.)
