Most people know Andrew McCarthy as a prolific commentator, author and all around expert on the subject of the world-wide terrorist threat, excuse me, the world-wide threat of man-made disasters. Mr. McCarthy became an expert as an Assistant US Attorney in the Southern District of New York. It was McCarthy who led the prosecution against Sheikh Omar Abdel Rahman and others for the 1993 World Trade Center. After 9/11 the supervised the Justice Department’s Command Post near Ground Zero in New York City.
So it was no surprise that the Justice department invited Mr. McCarthy to participate in their May 4 round table meeting the President’s Task Force on Detention Policy. Because he is a man of honor Mr. McCarthy told Eric Holder to shove it, diplomatically. He sent the the Attorney General an email which not only declines the offer, but he tells Holder everything wrong with the Obama policy on the terrorist detainees:

A person would have to be out of their mind to give legal advice to the Obama administration. The only work for an honest lawyer now is resisting him. Obama is a budding tyrant and needs to be resisted and removed as quickly as possible.
He is trying to fundamentally change our country into a socialist nation where a centralized government dictates even the smallest decisions in our life. Many heavily armed people will never come along. There are terrible seeds of conflict in that reality. We should all be ashamed of the dictatorship we are handing to our children.
Powerful statement
Andrew McCarthy wrote an excellent email to Holder. It is absolutely devastating without being too tart. Well done, Andrew! And you are so right, Holder and obammy only wanted to USE you, they have made their filthy decisions against Americans' safety long ago.

McCarthy rocks. His posts over at NRO are always a satisfying read.
