Yesterday on "Hardball", Pat Buchanan discusses the Frank Ricci affirmative action lawsuit with Joan Walsh from Salon. Ricci was denied a promotion because of an archaic affirmative action law that throws out the test if only white test takers pass.
Buchanan is not being racist in the least here, he is speaking the truth. Affirmative action was never intended to "put down" whites or cause whites to suffer for being white!
We have an African-American President; I would like to think that affirmative action is become increasingly unnecessary.

As usual, Pat is right on target. And nobody else will dare to say it.
I really don’t like Pat Buchanan, but the guy is so often dead on accurate and the sole human being in the media who speaks absolute truths.
For a long time, minorities were suffering discrimination and we were expect to take it and we did.
Welcome to the party white males. Now you are just like us.
and oddly enough he works for MS NBC!
The latest is a GEICO commercial with some stupid white roofers who get told by the smart black roofer that the stack of money staring at them is the money they could save on GEICO.
Time to say "Mission Accomplished for AA and remove the laws"
bttt
I’d agree that in certain sectors of government employment, which appears to be the only growth industry in America, that white males are verboten.
However, the title is insane.
Being a white man is, as it has always been, a pretty good deal. Even now.
I don’t harbor an ounce of “white guilt”, but one black comedian had it right:
Which would you choos: Poor white man or rich black man.
I’ll stick with “white males” for $1000, Alex.
But what will happen to the “Justice Brothers” Sharpton and Jackson?
They gonna come over an’ rescue ‘whitey’?
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight...
Where were you when black kids were hanging out of the forced-bused school-bus windows spitting on us white kids while we walked to our elementary school? Did we deserve it in your mind? Where were you when the black kids were pushing white kids out of drinking fountain lines, for being white?
I owe nothing to minorities, but the respect they should show me. If your sentiment represents minorities, then I would quickly withdraw my respect, and act accordingly.
The Obama election typifies what I have always knew, which is the black community harbors the most racist group of Americans in modern history. The proof is everywhere, but the mainstream media and pop culture has normalized black racism as a valid form of behavior.
Once enough white guys are out of work because of institutionalized racism, everyone will know about it, by all means necessary.
Imagine belonging to a group that can advance only through legal compulsion.
+1
Did they ever consider that the only reason the blacks didn’t pass the test in this case was because they were, um, er, stupid?
Yeah, about 30 years ago. Quotas have put the white man at a disadvantage for at least 2 decades.
pat buchanan is a moron
The ones I really find humorous are the alarm company commercials where all the perpetrators who are breaking into the homes are white guys with knit caps and a crow-bar.
Companies are so PC, they wouldn't dare show the races that statistically commit the most crimes in this country.
“Welcome to the party white males”
You must be young. Reverse Discrimination targeting whites and white males has been going on since the early 70s.
Jobs, college admission, entrance to Med and Law schools...to name just a few...
Funny you don’t here Asians complaining and crying for quotas...they succeed.
If minorities can’t succeed without set asides and taking working people’s money through taxation/redistribution...that speaks to the content of their character and ability.
Only difference is......only 13.5% of the US population is made up of African-Americans. They control and demand 100% of the national dialogue.
