The most powerful woman in the world has gone underground. Most of the major Sunday talk shows invited her to improve upon her feeble defense on their programs, but Pelosi's office said that she would be going into hiding to avoid saying anything stupid, um..make that spending time with family.

I'm not Pelosi fan; quite the contrary. But it's stupid to say that she's gone into hiding because she won't appear this Sunday on those silly talk shows (which I stopped watching about eight years ago). She had an embarassing press conference two days ago. Let's see what happens in the next week or ten days.

Why would I read this at YidWithLid instead of CNN? Especially since it's increasingly obvious that YidWithLid is just using FreeRepublic in an attempt to build traffic at his website.

I have a blog, too! Who doesn't? I've been on FreeRepublic for years and have never used it to steer Freepers to my site. It always seemed to me that this was a place to meet and discuss -- not take advantage of.

If I have a point I want to make, I post it in the comments.

That said, I support wholeheartedly Jim's decision to allow blog citations, but blatant and never-ending self-promotion gets old here -- and very, very annoying.
