Is California Too Big to Fail?

On the other hand, I don't really see another way out of it. If Uncle Sugar bails out California, California will not fix its problems. Perhaps you want Obama to make it fix the problems, using the same competence, power, and can-do spirit with which he has repaired all the holes in the banking and auto manufacturing sectors. But Obma is not in a good position to do this. California Democrats are a huge part of his governing coalition. All Obama can do is shovel money into the bottomless pit of California's political system.

“Is California Too Big to Fail?”

Ummm.., is California too big to be judged by God? Nope..., it’s been happening, and is happening now.

And that’s all the more reason for the following...

Repentance on behalf of America must start with the Christians, first...

I know I already posted this elsewhere, but because of the comment about our situation in America, I thought it deserved another post.

Everyone familiar with the Bible knew this day would come, and it appears to have arrived. And with that being the case, we have to appeal to God on the matter, since this is from His hands and is His judgment.

And it relates to three issues, abortion, homosexuality and dividing the land of Israel. The U.S. will be destroyed, by the hand of God, on these three issues.

California is under the judgment — and — it would appear that God *has* abandoned America and has put it under His severe judgment. And the question now is what to do now that God is judging America, and California?

John McTernan joins Jan to discuss judgment on America. That is a sad reality. How did it happen? What forms is it taking? A clue is the worst of the financial meltdown all happened on days correlated to U.S. activity in Israel. Also the gay agenda and abortion anger God and McTernan and Jan explain why. Is there any hope, what can you do, and how should we pray? Also commentary on overall America-Israel relations and the pressure on Israel that will be unrelenting and unprecedented. http://www.johnmcternan.name

All Obama can do is shovel money into the bottomless pit of California's political system.

IMO the emerging key political divide is not going to be business versus labor, or social conservative versus liberal.

It is going to be public sector employee versus private sector employee - with the former demanding higher and higher taxes from the latter to pay for all the unfunded pension and health benefits promised by states such as New Jersey and California. And if we don't give public sector benefits (and public sector payrolls) a major haircut, we are well on our way to becoming the United States of Argentina.

Sending Federal dollars to pay for the huge deficit in California is truly taxation without representation. The people in California won't support the spending why should we in Ohio or South Carolina?

I would like someone to define “Too big to fail?”. The California voters and their legislature have been voting themselves into this black hole for many years with no thought given to the consequences.

The bill is coming due and I’m not of the opinion that the rest of America should pay for California’s socialist foolishness. They dug the hole and they will have to dig themselves out.

I for one - hope that Kalifornicate falls into bankruptcy and MUST do what any other entity must do when they have behaved badly and spent foolishly...

STOP SPENDING on unnecessary PC bullshit..
STOP SPENDING on illegal aliens - PERIOD....
FINE every business who has hired an illegal alien - $30,000 for each one for each year employed.
STOP SPENDING on medical research.. Stem Cell in particular.
STOP all hiring and immediately FIRE everyone hired during Arnie's administration and 20% of the balance — for starters.
Declare all union contracts null and void.
END the right of “Civil SERVANTS” to have unions..
CUT all State perks including car, out of state travel, conventions, health and retirement benefits beyond that enjoyed by the average taxpaying citizen... This is NOT a monarchy.
REDUCE ALL STATE SALARIES immediately by 15%.
Those who refuse to accept the reduction may QUIT and go out to learn their TRUE value in the economy...

It is STATE GOVERNMENT that spent itself broke - THEY and THEY alone must make the changes INTERNALLY, without burdening the already overburdened taxpayers like ME.

It would also help, if the State would:

START DRILLING FOR OIL....
START OUTSOURCING STATE PRISONERS TO THE LOWEST BIDDER.
REDUCE CORPORATE REGULATIONS, to stem the exit of corporations..

I should add - I LIVE HERE and see the waste, stupidity and corruption - daily!

The result of letting State employees unionize and engage in collective bargaining. The fix is easy if you don’t depend on the union to get elected.

This is just the first in what should lead up to a huge landslide in 2010 for conservatives across the country. As they say Obama and his minions have jumped the shark!

Why would they buy it? We are picking up the tab already for the welfare cause of so many of their nationals!
