We've all been outraged this past week that President Obama almost immediately came out with his strongly worded statement about the death of abortion doctor George Tiller and his actions to send US Marshals to protect abortion clinics. If you search the whitehouse.gov website, this page immediately pops up:

TOPICS: Government; Military/Veterans; Politics; Weird Stuff
KEYWORDS:
Michelle Malkin posted on June 3rd that the president had FINALLY gotten around to acknowledging Pvt. Long's death and quoted this
KATV source statement:
Meanwhile, in a statement released by the White House Wednesday, President Obama said, I am deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence against two brave young soldiers who were doing their part to strengthen our armed forces and keep our country safe. I would like to wish Quinton Ezeagwula a speedy recovery, and to offer my condolences and prayers to William Longs family as they mourn the loss of their son.
What a wimpy response to this young man's murder compared to the strongly worded condemnation of Tiller's killer!! Michelle quoted KATV's quote, and several other blogs also referred either back to Michelle or to KATV's story. Out of curiosity, I went to the White House site to see the original statement allegedly released Wednesday, as the KATV article stated. This is what I found when I looked up "Quinton Ezeagwula" (seems like something that should pop up pretty quickly in a search engine, doesn't it?) and this is what I got:

I tried several variations of his name but the searches still came back empty. Weird, I thought to myself.
So then I tried Pvt. William Long. Again, nothing--mostly biographies of various presidents popped up. Tried several other variations of Pvt. Long's name--nada! I even put in I am deeply saddened by this senseless act of violence against two brave young soldiers" which should have been an EXACT match to any statement made by the president. NOTHING! I searched 50 pages before giving up. There is simply NO OFFICIAL statement made by this president on the White House website concerning the death of Pvt. William Long!
If the so-called 'commander in chief' couldn't bring himself to actually utter the words in the statement during a live interview (c'mon, every word this man says is on the White House website!), then what I would like to know is--who issued this statement? AND WHY WASN'T IT FROM THE PRESIDENT HIMSELF? AND WHY ISN'T IT ON THE WHITE HOUSE WEBSITE WHEN THE STATEMENT ABOUT GEORGE TILLER IS???
If the president never actually gave an official statement about Pvt. Long the way he did about George Tiller--well, I just find that shameful and disgusting that he treats an abortion doctor as someone more deserving of a strongly worded statement, than one of America's brave military members who was cut down viciously by a domestic terrorist! >:-(
If anyone can do a search at the White House website and find the president's 'official' statement concerning Pvt. Long, I'd be mighty obliged. Perhaps I didn't search hard enough. Or Long enough.

No way was that statement by Obama. He couldn't be bothered with such a trivial matter as expressing grief and loss at terrorism in America.
Here is a copy of the letter I sent to the W.H. at the end of the day of the shooting.
You expressed your opinion on the murder of Dr. Tiller as "heinous". Why, Sir, no comment on the murder today of a US Army soldier on the streets of America? A soldier that was targeted by a terrorist because he was in uniform. You, Sir are COMMANDER IN CHIEF. At least show as much compassion for a soldier dedicated to protecting lives as you did toward a man who took infants' lives as a profession.

It most likely WAS the haloed one as there is no mention of terrorism in the release about Pvt Long. Only the all purpose “violence”.

Pretty lame comment. It was a watershed.
