On Monday, Letterman "joked" that 14-year-old Willow Palin was "knocked up" by Alex Rodriguez during a baseball game.
Last night, he associated Willow Palin with Eliot Spitzer and prostitution:

He lived with a female for years, even fathering a child before deciding only recently to marry.
We need to do nothing of the kind. Everyone knows that David Letterman is too much of a coward to say something if he thought it would cost him his livelihood, not to mention his teeth.
When Letterman mutters swill like this in the presence of Mr and Mrs. Todd PALIN, I will take notice as should he.
The problem is that about half of the people in this country are as vile as Letterman is.He has an audience no matter what happens.

He joked that Palin was in a helicopter, shooting rats. He, of course, was refering to rodents, but I liked to think of her shooting democRATS. I just seems funnier to me.

His audience was whooping and hollering after he made his “joke”. They are just as vile as he is. I thought the joke was about Bristol, but if it was about Willow, then he’s advocating child rape. Can you imagine making a joke like that about Chelsea Clinton? The outcry would be unimaginable.
I think it’s better to write to the sponsors. I don’t want the FCC to be deciding what comedians say. They might decide that Jeff Dunham (”Silence! I keel you!”—Achmed the dead terrorist) could say.

Exactly. Someone is pissed that Gonad OBrien is sucking up all the publicity. That’s all this is- an over-the-hill aging performer who can no longer make people laugh, but still needs the eyeballs count if he is to feed his enormous crack addiction-like need for attention.
Let it go. Letterman is a washed up has-been who in this episode reveals himself to be so far beneath his mentor and idol Johnny Carson that it borders on the pathetic.
While I agree with you - I think we need to hit CBS, Letterman show sponsors AND the FCC. Decent Americans drove Dan Rather off TV - we can do the same to a vile scum such as Letterman.
Chelsea is an adult. Compare that to Sasha and Malia. What would happen if someone on FOX joked about Sasha and Malia being whores being raped.
I just filed a complaint and that felt GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!
