If we accept the premise that Barack Obama is a closet communist that hates America and wants to turn the U.S. into a socialist/Marxist haven, a nuclear attack by North Korea on Hawaii may be exactly what Obama wants. Certainly, any faux conflict with Asian communists will be met with little resistence from Obama, aware that the Chinese are the ones holding most of our debt.
Obama saw how the country rallied around George W. Bush after 9-11 but, more importantly, he saw the potential that Bush wisely passed up.
Obama and the Far Left want to accelerate their takeover of the American economy, military and government but, to do it, they must have compliance. There's also the looming 2010 elections before they have got their vote-rigging fully in place. They know Congress will not stand up to them. The only thing they have to fear is a blowback from the American people.
One way to take that problem off the table is to enact martial law which they can do if they are attacked. Some believe Hawaii was FDR's sacrificial lamb to get us into WWII. Could Obama use Hawaii as the sacrificial lamb to put us all under martial law?
In such an arrangement, Obama (with the Democrat-dominated Congress' permission) could suspend the 2010 elections or perhaps cancel them altogether, could confiscate America's home weaponry, set up his own national military force which will not be limited to attacking foreign enemies - all under the guise of "national security" - and buying time for Obama to control America with an iron fist once he has assured himself through vote-rigging and voting by illegals that he and the Democrat Party no longer has to worry about losing power to the Republicans again in our lifetimes.
The compliant media will acquiesce to everything with few complaints and will particularly celebrate when dissenting opinions like Limbaugh and Hannity are shut down in the interest of national security. The internet, likewise, will be heavily censored with no dissenting opinions to the Obama regime allowed.
America would in essence be like Cuba with rigged elections and total fear of government where everyone but the liberal elites left to eat the crumbs government deigns to give them while, all the while, telling them that everything is being done in their best interests.
It's all right there for the taking. Obama just needs the excuse and Kim Jong Il will only happily provide it for him.

If Obama failed to respond to an attack on US soil, he’d be impeached faster than you could say “treason or other high crimes and misdemeanors.”
I wouldn’t put it past Obama to desire some form of attack to enable his agenda. His actions certainly speak much louder than his words.
What he fails to realize is that he cannot do squat without money. WWII brought us out of the depression because American ingenuity was allowed to thrive amidst the war effort. Emulating the same sense of urgency and priority without the capital will utterly fail.

A nuclear attack by North Korea on ANY US state, territory or American forces should bring automatic impeachment, removal and charges of treason on the usurper 0bama.
But what does NK have to gain from the attack ? I haven’t heard this explained well yet .
Its interesting, in theory. Normally, I do not subscribe to these kinds of theories but with king barry, after the first five months onto his presidency, I believe anything is now possible. Or he wants Hawaii bombed to wipe out the whole birth certificate issue - no Hawaii no certificate.
IMO, a 9-11 type of disaster would be welcomed as the ensuing economic disasters could then be blamed on the attack and not their bungling. Also a great way to expand govt control as a "security measure".

I think you hit the nail on the head w/that observation. Americans do rally around their Prez during war time. THe dims know this, and they know that a war is a good time to push their social agenda. It goes back to Woody Wilson to FDR to LBJ.
