Look folks. Are we kidding with Mark Sanford? Is this some sort of sick joke, keeping this cad around?

We’ve already gone over this, days ago.

We don’t care how much “love” this man got from his foreign woman or what his financial records look like. The man is scum and needs to leave the South Carolina governor’s mansion right now.

Lincoln fell short, we all fall short.

So let's all worship happy pedophiles who screw your cat and vote for welfare while we rob our neighbor and rape his wife?

When do we say no?

Claro que...republicans are the better angels of our nature?

Claro que?

Maybe we should ask a Wise Latina...

Who buys that happy horse **** they are all bought and paid for in one way or another. If he repents can we not forgive?

How about we come back to planet earth. I'll "forgive" my friends, neighbors, and relatives, but I DEMAND that politicians behave (i.e. don't screw us or some South American floozie) or else they are outta here.

That was good. I especially liked the wise latina cover. My point is just this...They have no morals. I will not be lectured by them on mine and I hate like hell to have them use morals as a club to beat us with when some one’s garment has a stain on it. This was settled law under clinton, if you’ll excuse the pun. You are allowed to lie about it and do what you want on your personal business. I’m not speaking morally just politically.

Dims don’t resign why should he?

That is not true and I am sick of this nonsense. The New Jersey and New York Governor both resigned. Bill Clinton was impeached. John Edwards will never be President and has become a laughing stock. The only freaks who did not resign are that disgusting Vitter, Ensign and Sanford. All three refuse to do what is right for the country. Even that really scumbag from Idaho stayed until the last minute. Alaska Republican Senator stayed until he lost his seat to a Democrat. I am sorry there is scum on both sides but for some reason our scum seem to linger until they are replaced with a Dem which is so frustrating.

Didn’t Ted Kennedy kill a girl a few years back? Perhaps you should worry about that.

Did they investigate and find him guilty? Was their a jury trial? This was back in the 60’s or 70’s when most of us here were not even born or children. Ted Kennedy killed a girl but so did Laura Bush...what does that have to do with Mark Sanford?

That was droll non-sense. It might fly in Massachusetts though.

L.B. killed a girl? Not that it matters she is a civilian in politics, but do you have a reference? I'm curious.

My search engines are not working but you are right she was a civilian...bad example. It happened probably thirty years ago. If you put in Laura bush car accident you will see loads of articles on it. It was a complete accident but resulted in a death of a young women.

This would all blow over if he’d just switch parties.

You’re right, we do not hold our elected critters responsible for their actions, but in this case it’s up to the people of South Carolina to vote him out if they so choose.

He’s term limited out, has no future in the GOP and is worthless in conservative circles.

The only argument I would make is if he received any monies from the national GOP for his campaign or to start looking into running for federal office, he should return the funds immediately.

As a Republican, he is a disgusting, lowlife, immoral scumbag.

As a Democrat, he is a model of virtue and moral purity (compared to many prominent and celebrated Democrats).

All he needs to do is change Parties and he will instantly become one of the more moral and honest of the Dem’s.

“Regardless of the procedural debate, the man is a flat out liar who, in my opinion, should no longer hold public office.”

Well, at least he didn’t do her over the office desk like Clinton (or was it under the office desk).

And clearly Clinton was more dedicated to work ethics as Sanford takes a long trip away from work to get a wick dip, whereas Clinton would multi-task, being on the phone with important world leaders while getting a lube job by star-struck and cigar-stuck admiring interns.

I do not live in South Carolina (although I am a Gamecock).

I have an opinion. I am never at a loss for words when it comes to telling someone what they should do (ask my family). But Sanford is not my gov. I have no say.

My opinion means nothing in this instance. So yeah, it is a state issue.

Any man who would have an affair and then tell the world that his lover, not his wife is has “soul mate,” is indeed a scumbag.

I don't know about "scumbag" ... but I wouldn't want this man making "executive decisions" for my state, he doesn't seem to be coherent. (..."for my state?" ... hell, I live in South Carolina!).

I thought the person killed in laura Bush’s accident was a young man, her boyfriend in fact. I think she ran a stop sign and hit his car. Anyway a tragic accident that caused her great pain.

I think he’s communicating with his soul mate possibly the only way he can, through newspapers and news reports

Just my opinion, but desperate (in love) men do desperate things

Did I miss anything?

Just the obvious fact that Sanford has aided and abetted all of the above in their efforts to marginalize all things small government and conservative. And, since he should have known better (to put it mildly), is worthy of every bit as much contempt as those on your list, if not more. The Sanfords, Craigs, Foleys of the Republican party have done incalculable damage. They are scum of the lowest order.

And hasn't it become obvious to you over the last couple of weeks that Sanford is far too self absorbed and down right childish to be anywhere near power? Defending idiots like him is not a productive activity for anybody that seriously wishes advancement of conservative causes.
