(Washington, D.C., - 7/12/09) Senate and congressional Democrats and Republicans have recently learned an ICBM is aimed directly at Washington and are furious the American people are more than willing to let those in control press the button to launch.

According to unnamed sources from both parties and the press in a joint news conference, this Independent Conservative (Behemoth) Movement (ICBM) is aimed directly at Washington with a launch point hidden somewhere in Alaska.

“Having someone so far away with their finger on the IC(B)M button represents an unparalleled danger to D.C. What is truly shocking is the American people are apparently behind this move. We understand that although some half-hearted attempts have been made to destroy this person, the more they’re attacked, the stronger they seem to become. The attacks are having the exact opposite effect of their intended purpose. This threat must be met head-on and crushed before it becomes reality.”

Unnamed Governor from a northeastern state who has great hair with a touch of gray indicating youth and experience (according to television ads): “We simply can’t stand by and allow this ICBM to get anywhere close to D.C. It would ruin everything that has been carefully built there over the past 60 years.”

Unnamed female television anchor: “This is ridiculous. I’m all perky over who is in charge now and see no reason for anyone to attempt to destroy our benevolent ruling class, who graciously allow us to keep some of the money we earn, in such a crass move.”

Unnamed female representative from California who occupies a high position: “In considering this ICBM, I’d laugh it off but I’m afraid if I smile my cheeks would crack.”

Unnamed white haired Senators from Nevada and Arizona: “We will launch a bi-partisan investigation into these rumors, identifying the culprit(s) and taking important legislative action.”

Unnamed occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue: “What, me worry?”

There is no missile shield system that can protect them from this ICBM.

In rejecting her own position of power, Palin struck a powerful blow against the beast that is corruption. Her character is identical to Crowe’s character in The Gladiator.

If we are fortunate enough to lose DC, is there a city worthy of being our capitol that is not run by RATs?
