Student of history, Barack Obama, fumbled another historic event today. Barack Obama explained to an ABC reporter why he does not like to use the word victory:
"I'm always worried about using the word 'victory,' because, you know, it invokes this notion of Emperor Hirohito coming down and signing a surrender to MacArthur," Obama told ABC News.
It wasn't Hirohito.

Don’t fret none. The leftists in charge of printing up the history books are working feverishly to make sure that all future teachings of history will have Hirohito surrendering to Obama. Tojo and MacArthur might be mentioned in passing, but that’s still pending Obama approval for the 2011 history textbooks.
Obama didn’t learn about all those white and asian guys in the history he studied.

What is wrong with US victory over Japan? Japanese murdered millions in Asia brutally. Check out the sadistic murders in NanKing, China, see why the Japanese fascism must be completely destroyed out of smithering, never to come back again.
However, the US president only reflects the sentiment of US liberal left. I have personally encountered two left leaning evangelically Christians sprouting the same sentiments. I do believe it is the failing of the school system.

He might have been wrong about the Emperor, but at least he is again consistent in another way (and I am beginning to think he doesn't realize it)...
