Well, my friends. The next stage of Hope and Change has begun. Now, if you express opposition Barack Obama and the Democrat-majority Congress’s government-run health (s)care plan, you can potentially be flagged by a listener at the White House’s website. I kid you not.
At the beginning of his show yesterday evening, the Great One Mark Levin said: Your government has declared war on you. (Incidentally, I’m working on a Levin Listen & Learn as we speak.) He was even more right than he know. Less than two hours ago Breitbart reported this:
A leading Republican US Senator on Wednesday sharply assailed a White House request for supporters to help track “fishy” claims about President Barack Obama’s plans to overhaul US health care.
“I am not aware of any precedent for a president asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed ‘fishy’ or otherwise inimical to the White House’s political interests,” John Cornyn of Texas wrote US President Barack Obama.

I am starting to lose sleep over this crap.

The White House is asking individuals to report misinformation to the White House on healthcare. Specifically, the White House said “There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care. These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation. Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov. “
During the reign of communism in Eastern Europe the subjects of Eastern Block nations were terrified and paranoid that their neighbor would turn them in and rightfully so. If your neighbor didn’t like you he could make something up, inform the Stazi or KGB, and in the middle of the night, men would break down your door and haul you off. Sometimes these people came back months or years later but many didn’t. The communist government kept people in line through, fear, intimidation, and imprisonment and or death. It is a terrible day in the United States when the government urges it’s citizens to inform on their neighbor just because that neighbor has a different point of view than the government. With this recent request from the Obama administration we have indeed begun a slide down a slippery slope that can only end when this administration is gone or when we are all just as scared and paranoid as the subjects of the former Eastern Block countries.
Unless someone stands up for American citizens and takes this administration to task for requesting neighbor to inform against neighbor they will become emboldened. They will take bolder actions and if they are not opposed they will continue until they have so much power that no one will be capable of standing in their way.
I proudly served this country in Iraq and other countries around the world with my life and this administration labeled me a terrorist so I already have one strike against me. I am a white conservative, strikes two and three, and I oppose their health care plan. Will you parole me from the gulag when this administration comes for me in the middle of the night?
I am asking you to demand an apology from the President for setting this gravely dangerous precedent.

I think everyone should tell them about all the misinformation about the bill. Starting with the lies by democrats denying that abortion is in the bill.
The results of the last election tell us not nearly enough, though the present situation provides a great opportunity to remind others of the core values and founding principles of our great nation. The crossroad at which currently stand is indeed an interesting yet troubling one, and begs us to ask ourselves whether the system can still be fixed from within? Have we yet to venture past the point of no return?

I see a horrible person spreading lies about President Obama’s health care plan. He is ripping you up one side and down the other because the plan does not provide for single-payer but allows evil blood-sucking corporate insurance companies to remain in business. He says that if Obama was a real Progressive he would just dump the private healthcare sector tomorrow and give us a great government plan like they have in Cuba. He is also mad at the President for trying to appoint people to the administration who do not agree with him.
This guy would be a horrible drain on the healthcare system in any event. I would estimate his weight at approximately 700 lbs. His face looks like an overstuffed pumpkin, sort of like John Candy or Chris Farley a week before they keeled over. Wearing a hooded parka and glasses, scraggly red hair, and a Michigan State Spartans baseball cap, and........wait a minute....
