I can’t look at Franken without being reminded that the state bird of Minnesota is the LOON.
Her nomination is certainly not a good thing, but if it is to be a liberal activist judge, I much prefer an intellectual lightweight like Sotomayor. In terms of influencing the court, she is likely to be weaker than Souter and will certainly have a tough row to hoe in pushing her vacuous ideas in opposition to serious guys like the fearsome foursome, Scalia, Thomas, Alito, and Roberts.
I wish Scalia and Thomas would take better care of themselves.
