There are many on the socialist side of the political spectrum who believe that government owns you and your body as well as your labor and the products of your labor. This is the extreme viewpoint that government is the 'God' on Earth much as they would deny it with a stupid smirk on their face. One of the ideas they have propounded is mandatory National Service. The idea that being allowed to live through borth and then surviving through schools means you OWE the government years and years of your life. Its called servitude, a nicer word for enslavement.
In recent months our own government has declared war against us, the people. The President has appointed some of the most radical people in the country to positions of real power but without accountability. Czars serve at the pleasure of the President, they are not accountable to our elected representatives in Congress and they do not answer to us. They don't seem to work for the government but for the President himself, even though they have real powers. These extreme Czars pasts show that they are likely to use this unaccountable power to remake America in their image.
The President has also called for a Civilian Defense Force that is as "well funded as the real Army". But this Force would not occupy Iraq but America. Imagine if every community could be put under the thumb of the President of the United States. Imagine this Civilian Force is headed by a Czar and operated as the enforcement arm of the far leftist movement. The idea is analogous with the brownshirts of the German NAZI-era for good reason. We have seen with the far left that literally everything, everything is about politics, is about gaining more power.
Well I believe the time has come for our own National Service, one that will step up for this country and our liberties. We need to organize a national movemenbt made up of local organizations in every community that can extract real political stregnth. Imagine if several million Americans were to offer even a single day per month to this organization! Imagine if several million Americans even gave a ten-spot per month to fund our own "public broadcasting" services. We could fight back on every subject instead of just one topic at a time. I think the time has come.
I have nothing but awe and respect at those who have turned out at the Town Hall meetings to air their voices as I had nothing but respect for those who came together for the TEA (Taxed Enough Already) rallies. But this movement must be and do more than give headaches to members of Congress and cause media mouthpeices to call us names while they pretend to call for civility.
It is time for the Counter-Revolution to begin. The best defense is a real offense

Of course, this will not affect minorities, as the majority of them go to school on our money in affirmative action, but it will affect the white students who will be placed in the mandatory service working for their black overseers.

And don’t forget to give a big *no thanks* to the liberals and middle of the roaders - old and wrinkled or young and stupid - driving little cars plastered with university stickers and Obama-Biden 08 stickers feeling smug now that they have elected an empty symbol to assuage feelings of white guilt.
We all need to start organizing in our communities. We can put a sign up on local bulletin boards at the shooting range and gun store and churches. We can talk to other parents at Boy Scout get-togethers.
I do not mean online organizing. We will use the internet to keep in contact and to post info and news but this is not an online thing. If we can actually start a real movement, maybe we can meet once a week or every other week for lunch.
We could call this the Lunch Crowd or something until someone can come up with a better name.
Hey, maybe we could all started a FReepers for Lunch Movement? We need to start somewhere.
I think we need an offline-movement with online contacts and online support.
Are we ready to take this offline? Organize in our neighborhood and in our towns?
Not a bad idea but organizing conservatives is more difficult than herding cats. No followers, few leaders, a whole lot of independent, self-reliant, singular individuals, thank you very much.

We need the sons of Liberty again! That and the Minutemen. Look to our revolutionary past for examples. I still think we need a Conservative Party—a national party. A decent reform party that could be more like a movement. Obama is right—we need Hope and Change—real hope and Change.
