President Hannity? Talker drops hint
World Net Daily ^ | 08/22/2009 | World Net Daily

Talk-show host Sean Hannity, a vocal opponent of Barack Obama's policies, said today he would not rule out a bid for the presidency in 2012.

Egged on by radio colleague Bill Cunningham, Hannity said he would consider entering the front lines of the political fray if God directs him.

He might try getting elected dog catcher in his home district first. That would give him a clue as to his electibility.

IIRC, Hannity dropped his ‘republican’ membership. So, what party is he going to be with?

Yes we can get the libs to waste their time and money on someone who is not even a candidate, and at the same time the conservatives can waste their time and money. I prefer to spend my money and energy taking back our country. This would entail, getting serious in my opinion.

Palin is a serous spokesperson in the political arena. Time will tell if she is a viable candidate. Hannity is a serous spokesperson in the entertainment arena.

You may not believe this but I have never heard Rush’s show. It’s on during the day when I am at work. AM radios don’t work in high rise office buildings and I can’t listen online at work.

Hannity is on when I drive home from work. So it’s merely convenience. I probably would not listen otherwise.

I really miss Larry Elder.

There are THOUSANDS of jobs for conservatives.....

I'd like to know where, considering I've been out of work a year and my husband is closing in on 2 years without a "real" job. Day labor work is starting to get real old for both of us.

Will NOT happen.

He'd have to give up too much. And there aint a frickin' chance of him getting anywhere.

I use to live in Southern CA and I loved Larry Elder. I always listened to him on my drive home from work.

we're desperate. I keep scanning the horizon for another Ronald Maximus who can bring us together. Ain't nobody there.

The 'republican brand' has been going down hill since GHWB occupied the Oval Office. That is a 20-year slide.

You are right -- there ain't nobody on the horizon to rally behind. Many tried to push Thompson (McCain-lite) in 08, but the most he got was 1 (IIRC) delegate vote before dropping out.

Most of the names being tossed against the wall just don't have the 'umph' to go up against Obama, especially if Obama sees some moderate success prior to the '12 election. Like Clinton, it will take more the average GOP nominee to defeat Obama. Another Dole or McCain or Gingrich or Huckabee or Romney, etc., just doesn't have that 'umph' that will be needed.

Reality bites.

You may not believe this but I have never heard Rush’s show.

Rush is, well, "an experience". :-)

In what he does, he's in a league all his own, IMO. I learned a great deal from him in my younger days (particularly from his books, so clear and simple), and no doubt many are learning from him still - and from Hannity, Levin, Ingraham and others. They all seem to do a lot of good.

But the "Peter Principle" looms threateningly always.

I would also like to see Hannity SHUT UP about “Learjet Liberals” -—

Just out of curiosity, does Hannity fly coach when he goes to those his summer concerts, rallies, etc.?

..no more business being president than any hotel doorman.

I guess a community organizer does or the one that we have that is more qualified to be a hotel doorman than he does being president.

Just wondering......

Just so you know - a polemical argument doesn’t hold up. Lack of qualifications of Zerobama doesn’t make Hannity qualified, de facto or otherwise

I am sorry.
I meant, of course, that it is wrong for us to constantly tell people to run for POTUS, just because they do well, at a different job.
I think Cunningham was wrong to do this to Hannity.
There ARE thousands of elected positions that conservatives should run for.
There ARE thousands of staff positions for these conservatives.
There ARE lots of places for conservatives to make a difference.
Lets not push people to do things for which they are not suited.

That is all I meant.

I suggest that YOU need to cooperate a bit.
Those “Bible thumpers” are sometimes wrong, but they have a solid place in the conservative movement, and in the Republican Party.

We need somebody who can make an articulate case for capitalism, as did Ronald Maximus.

Where is that conservative? (Other than an academic or Rush Limbaugh)

That, of course IS NOT THE POINT!

I think that it is wrong for anyone to resort to class warfare arguments.

I get it that Hannity is TRYING to show the libs to be hypocrites, since they tell US to cut our “carbon footprints” and they tell execs not to fly their corporate jets.

However, YOU seem to personalize this.

YOU seem more than willing to make this a class-warfare argument.

Hannity was trying to show that liberals, who used to be called “limousine liberals” are hypocrites, since THEY have been bashing corporate jets, and now these “learjet liberals” want their own jets.

In bashing aviation, however, liberals have hurt Beech, Learjet, Cessna and other manufacturing jobs, are being LOST due to the liberals and the Democrats and their constant class warfare bull.

NONSENSE
When, in the first year of a Democrat’s term, have Republicans EVER been sure of who the next GOP nominee would be?

You are far too negative.

I think a guy who makes money saying what his target audience wants to hear is a bad choice for any job.

You do realize you have just dissed every sales person in the country, don't you?

Did everyone of you stop before reading this?

Hannity asked: "Would any of you really want me to run?"

Loud applause followed.

Hannity then asked, "How about I just stay on the radio?"
