I made the mistake of making a contribution to the RNC a couple of years ago. They called early one Sunday morning after I had just learned that a friend had passed away. I blessed out the caller and told them to never call my house again. Since then I get calls from them on every day of the week and all hours of the day and night. When I pick up the phone there is a long silence and then they hang up. I have used the caller ID to call the number back, (202) 747-7340, and I get a voice recording of the RNC. I have left messages to please stop calling with no success. The RNC is exempt from the national "Do Not Call List" registry. Would anyone have any ideas of anything I could do to stop them from calling?
I have voted Republican in every election since Ronald Reagan in 1980. I wouldn't vote Republican now if Sarah Palin showed up on my door step wearing a Victoria Secret outfit.
Is there any way I can stop the calls?

They call our house several times a day.
I just let the machine get it.

If they are indeed calling you in the middle of the night, get your phone records from your phone company documenting it and get yourself a lawyer.
My bet is you can make some money on the deal.

I think that there is a Dim behind this.
It doesn't make any sense for a Republican to anger their donor!

Leo, I think you are confused. It must be the DNC calling you and this is not DU.

Solicitation calls are incredibly annoying. However, Sunday solicitation calls are downright intolerable. If you want to hear me screaming into a telephone, call me asking for money on a Sunday.

I don’t beleive it is who you think that is calling you. If it is really happening, you can get the phone co. to put a trace on your phone and they will take it from there to stop it.

It sounds like one of those secret plots by Cheney and Rove. Next time they do it tell them that you are Eric Holder and that they are being tape recorded. Then call the FBI and report them.

Truthfully, I’m not believing any of this. Sorry.
