Liberal Democrats like to say that if our government took all the money spent on the Iraq war it could pay for health insurance for all of the uinsured.

Well, that may be, however, the Iraq war was a matter of national security. Regardless of what one believes, the purpose of the war was to prevent another terrorist attack.

However, there is something liberal Democrats can do to help the government pay for the uninsured. This won't require changing the insurance status of the 90% of Americans who are very satisfied with the current system.

Liberal Democrats just need to pay their ...

Yesterday, I saw a comment that said, if you add up all the salaries of insurance executives, you would have your trillion dollars to pay for health insurance. How’s that for brilliant reasoning?! UGH!

My question is, why should one person have to pay another persons bills?

Because the government keeps 80% of the take?

And no more handicapped placards for fat ghetto mamas who have “bad knees” because they are fat. Rewarding them with close parking seems counterintuitive.

It's stuff like that as well as a thousand other things wrong with our society and culture that makes me think a civil war may actually be a GOOD thing. you know, a great cleansing and all.

If we do have a civil war in this country, and when the dust settles there remains somewhere a fat ghetto mama with a handicapped placard, then we did not do it right!

And let’s start with Charlie Rangel, head of the Ways and Means Committee that writes our tax laws. The IRS has found that his real income is three times as much as he has paid taxes on. They let him pay the taxes with no interest and penalties.
Congressman John Carter (R-TX) has introduced a bill called the “Rangel Rule” that extends this same sympathetic treatment to all taxpayers. If the IRS finds you in arrears, they should only make you pay the original tax amount, minus interest and penalties, just as Daschle, Geithner, Rangel have done. After all, Democrats value “equality” more than anything, right?
