Wow - what a bunch of non-choices for me
Fool! The supreme leader Obama (Peace be unto him) has declared that you will find these under powered, poorly designed crap waggons to be exciting. Now be excited, the Obamasiah demands it. /sarc

A Volkswagon Golf???
A co-worker bought a new Jetta seven or eight years ago and was in the shop at least once every three or four months for the three years she owned the car.

The original Tiburon was fugly.
Newer models are fairly decent, with less pronounced arches and edges. It now actually looks like the mid 1990s generation of the Toyota Celica (except the lights). Not bad.
The Genesis Coupe shares some similar lines, butputs it on a solid chassis with a great motor.

To replace the battery on my 1998 Lumina, I have to remove a body brace, the fuze box and the wiper fluis reservoir.
Then, I have to remove the battery bracket that’s attached to the air intake (WTF?) and requires a specific set of maneuvers to get it out.
Insanity.

Kia Soul - its a Scion knock off, please.
And a wagon, even if it is a Caddy CTS, is still a wagon.
(My thoughts when the Dodge Magnum came out was, wow, nice station wagon gramma. I told my wife, “If they ever make that thing into a fast back I’ll buy it.” They did, and I did - I was in my ‘06 Charger before the end of July 2005 - the first month they were available in my area.)

I would think the Smart Car would be the most exciting to drive, especially when you get between a cuppla semis on the highway....
To: GonzoGOP
you will find these under powered, poorly designed crap waggons to be exciting.I'm not defnding the list but the Ford SHO and the 370Z are definitelt NOT underpowered. The top SHO has 365 horse power @ 5550 rpm and the new Z has 332 hp @ 7,000 rpm in a MUCH lighter package.

After owning 2 GM vehicles, and 1 Ford vehicle, each of which had constant severe mechanical and service issues, I bought a Kia Sorrento 3 1/2 years ago. I have yet to send it to the shop for a severe mechanical issue.
I know this is anecdotal evidence, but that Kia beats the crap out of any overpriced Detroit-made vehicle I have had over the last 15 years.

Point taken. I was more trying to figure out how the Golf or Suzuki Kizashi anything of that class got on the list of exciting cars. They may be particle, but exciting, not so much. For exciting I'm looking for something more along these lines..
You know something expensive and totally impratcicle.

"KIA? Yuck."
I'm old enough to remember that being said about several other foreign automakers...
Datsun? Yuk! Toyota? Yuk!
Even Volkswagen took more than 20 years to get it right in America.
The KIA Soul and the Forte are getting rave reviews everywhere. The Forte was the number one KIA seller in the C4C program. Motor Trend says:...While the Forte stands well on its own, it shines next to the competition. Aimed squarely at the highly successful Toyota Corolla, the Forte brings more high-tech features to the table, along with slightly better fuel economy, comparable or better prices and a better warranty. The only question left is whether or not the new kid on the block will be able to steal sales away from the veteran. Wed advise Toyota to pay attention, because theres a good chance of that happening.
Edmund's says:...Amid the growing crowd of compacts, this affordable Kia holds its own. We consider the Forte a legitimate alternative to traditional segment leaders due to its eye-catching style, competitive feature content and good value.
The last time I heard those words they were spoken of Hyundai models. Hyundai/Kia now occupy the 5th place in sales, .3 behind Nissan.
BTW, I'm 57, and I took my first driver's license test in my Aunt's brand new Datsun 510. LOL
I hope American automakers start taking their foreign competition more seriously than your comment, or else we'll be completely done.

The Smart pretty much as it is came out over ten years ago.
To: Jack Wilson
You sit higher in a Smart than in a lot of other cars, and the interior does feel big. It’s not scarier between two semis than the average car.
To: SJSAMPLE
The G-Coupe was designed to go head to head with the Infiniti G37.
306 hp in a rear wheel drive, sport tuned suspension, and weighing less than 4k.
350z 0-60 5.5seconds. 1/4 mile 13.9 @ 102.20.
Genesis Coupe 3.8 Manual 0-60 5.5seconds. 1/4 mile 14.2 @ 99.5mph.
Genesis Coupe 3.8 Automatic 0-60 5.5seconds. 1/4 mile 14.0 @ 101.0.
The TiB could only dream. LOL
