Man Who Predicted First Two Trade Center Attacks Says Something May Happen SOON
Deseret News/The Lid ^ | 9/9/07 | The Lid

Daniel J. Hill joined the US Army at the age of 15, by lying about his age. He eventually became a Special Forces paratrooper and served in Germany....In 1960 he was assigned to infiltrate the Katanga insurrection in the Congo where he met his lifelong friend, Rick Rescorla.... Rescorla had become Director of Security for Dean Witter Securities (later merged with Morgan Stanley), which occupied a number of floors in the World Trade Center. Rescorla had become increasingly concerned about the potential for a terrorist attack against the center and in 1990 hired Hill to provide an assessment of the building's vulnerabilities. Hill singled out the basement parking garage as the obvious point for a car-bomb attack, telling Rescorla that if he were a terrorist he would fill a truck with ammonium nitrate and diesel fuel and detonate it in the underground parking garage. Rescorla reported these findings to the New York Port Authority and the New York Police Department but received no official response. In 1993 the World Trade Center bombing took place in almost exactly the manner Hill had predicted.

Following the bombing, Rescorla and Hill wrote a report, which warned that the next logical step would be a suicide terrorist flying a plane into the building... In 2001, his contacts told him that a major attack against the US was imminent, and he attempted to revive the plan; but he was again turned down by the FBI. He lost his life-long friend, Rick Rescorla, in the 9/11 attack.

Hill is not done predicting terrorist attacks, He was interviewed by Lee Benson of the Deseret News and feels that something may be immanent and it it will be bigger than 9/11

Perhaps. If it does happen, I’d be leery of not only foreign-based troops [invasion] but also of our troops/police [acting in the name of “security”] enforcing regulations that are completely out of sync with the Constitution.

Police I’d trust less than military, but military would be suspect for “being played” by their own patriotic nature by the political powers.

It’s hard to make predictions, especially about the future.

“Gulag Amerika, here we come.”?

Oh, I think that if something like this happened, Obama and the rest of Congress wouldn’t survive a month, Americans would torch every mosque in the country within a week, and all those guns that everyone just bought would get broken in real quick. This country is angry already, it’s a powderkeg. Not exactly a national mindset conducive to listening a whole lot to the authorities who would have allowed such an attack to happen.

These nikes would have probably degraded years ago, if they are here. If they are here, they would have been used years ago - like during the Iraq war.

If Islam has these nukes, Israel would be the first target.

All this is not to say there won’t be an attack. When it comes, it will be a surprise as BHO has gutted our intelligence gathering system. When it comes, given his trashing of the CIA, it will be BHO’s downfall.

The above is nearly word for word the Wikipedia entry for Daniel J. Hill. With, of course a request for donations posted above it.

Was the word immanent used?

"I don't know the second, hour or day. I just know they have the means, will, motivation and desire to do it," he said, noting that it's believed that years ago the suitcase nukes, acquired from former USSR operatives, were smuggled into America across the Mexican border.

My understanding is the suitcase/backpack nukes require periodic calibration using sophisticated equipment terrorists are unlikely to have or know how to use.

>If Islam has these nukes, Israel would be the first target.

Not necessarily. It is conceivable that a similar operation would be much more difficult to conduct on Israel for several reasons a) they would expect it, b) they are, by being middle eastern, far more aware of their enemies’s nature, and c) have a much, MUCH smaller surface area to be concerned about.

All those aforementioned differences could amount to, operationally speaking, something an order of magnitude (or two) more difficult to “pull off”.

Assuming you’re a terrorist, which operation are you going to choose: one with a high probability of discovery & thigh value, or one with a low probability of discovery & a [slightly] lesser value?

Why the devil is Hill still a Muslim, given what he knows? Anybody get this?

Wouldn’t even “degraded” nukes cause a lot of deaths and injuries? At the very least, wide spread panic.

And a Police State.

I have friends who study this stuff for a living. Bad news- there are most assuredly two-four small Soviet era devices in the US. Good news is they require a great deal of maintenance by highly trained personnel. Back pack is a joke since they weigh WAAYYYY more than any pack I want to try on.

"Care to explain what you mean, in context?"

The Reichstag was the German equivalent of the Capitol Building. On Feb. 27, 1933 it was destroyed in an arson fire. Although historians disagree on whether or not the Nazi's actually started the fire, they seized the event.

Adolf Hitler, who had been sworn in as Chancellor of Germany four weeks before, pressured President von Hindenburg to pass an emergency decree to counter the "ruthless confrontation of the Communist Party of Germany". With civil liberties suspended, the government instituted mass arrests of Communists, including all of the Communist parliamentary delegates. With them gone, and their seats empty, the Nazis went from being a plurality party to the majority; subsequent elections confirmed this position and thus allowed Hitler to consolidate his power.

A major attack on the US today could easily precipitate a similar power grab by the federal government.

Best ask someone who knows - I assume that degraded nukes pose “less” of a threat b/c care and attention is given to keeping nukes upgraded, and there must be a reason for that.

You spend millions of dollars to acquire suitcase nuclear weapons. You spend more money smuggling them into the United States. Then you sit on the nukes in storage in the United States, with more storage and security expenses annually. And every day you store the nukes in the United States is a day when you risk some mean people from the U.S. government will show up, shoot you and/or take you prisoner, seize your little toys, and you waste the entire investment you made.

Sorry, I'm not buying it. If Al-Qaeda or whoever had nukes in the United States they would make them go BOOM as quickly as possible. Like as soon as they could place them where they wanted them. A month or so would be an appropriate time frame.

IMHO, as long as Obama is in control and doing reasonably well, there will be no attacks— they don’t need to attack because we are being undermined from within.

The real danger is when Obama is not in control and is doing very poorly at controlling our trajectory; they will give up on him, and on secrecy, and will resort to heavy handedness. They will attack when they know he’s done and can do their cause no more good.

All the more reason to hamstring him.

1993 — first WTC attack
2001 — 9/11

Can you imagine the kind of crap that would come down the pike if a 9/11 happened under Obama’s watch?

Like that would happen.....Mohammedans don't attack other Mohammedans, supposedly. He's their friend and bruthuh - we're bulletproof Teflon in that regard.

Anybody have access to the travel plans of a certain someone so we know when he won’t be in DC or any of those other cities?
