ACORN must have figured out that the prostitute, pimp videos shot by independent filmmakers James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles at four ACORN offices Washington, D.C., Baltimore, Brooklyn, N.Y., and San Bernadino, Calif. which led to the firing of four employees and the launch of a criminal investigation by the Kings County District Attorney's Office.were not doctored.
The organization's just issued the following press release:
For Immediate Release: September 16, 2009
ACORN Announces Major Steps to Address Issues Raised by Videos
In response to recently released videos of frontline ACORN staff, ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis made the following announcement Wednesday morning:
As a result of the indefensible action of a handful of our employees, I am, in consultation with ACORNs Executive Committee[1], immediately ordering a halt to any new intakes into ACORNs service programs until completion of an independent review. I have also communicated with ACORNs independent Advisory Council, and they will assist ACORN in naming an independent auditor and investigator to conduct a thorough review of all of the organizations relevant systems and processes. That reviewer, to be named within 48 hours, will make recommendations directly to me and to the full ACORN Board. We enter this process with a commitment that all recommendations will be implemented.

Reforming ACORN’s redshirts would be like reforming Hitler’s brownshirts.
Right...bet they are just going to make the name change they had planned to and that will be it.
Damn afraid the teat is about to run dry........
They sure got a lot of handfuls of something alright..
Day late and a dollar short.
Get under the bus, kkthx.
That is like Satan telling everyone that he’s suspending his mission while he investigates his mission.
All I can do is shake my head that there are millions of people who will actually think this is just great news!
Anything short of 100% suspension of every Fed dollar and a Federal investigation is laughable.
“The Advisory Council includes John Podesta, president of the liberal Center for American Progress; Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, a former lieutenant governor of Maryland; Andrew Stern, international president of Service Employees International Union; Henry Cisneros, a former Secretary of Housing and Urban Development; John Banks, vice president of Government Relations Con Ed; and Eric Eve, senior vice president of Global Consumer Group, Community Relations, of Citigroup.”
Podesta and Stern from SEIU. They call this independent.
We at ACORN are reforming so gives us the 8 billion you have promised us Obama.
Have they changed Rule #47, Subsection 12, which encourages forcing 12 year old Ecuadorian girls into the forced sex trade.
Reform this.
Yeah. Right. Where's the BUCK STOP? - not with you obviously. What. No managers getting fired? - Didn't think so.
Lotta honkies and FJBs on that board.
ACORN be flunkin’ the SWPL test bigtime, and Uncle Sugar may have to cut back on the green enzyme for a few weeks.
Xin loi, minoy.

LOL, oh yeah we can ‘trust’ ACORN for an investigation about as much as we can trust Pelosi to clean out the swamp of Maxine Waters, Charles Rangel, Chris Dodd, Chuck Schumer, Barney Frank, John Conyers...
I s’pose if the barn is burning to the ground they won’t mind if the horse has already left.
BTW - this is tantamount to an admission of guilt vs. claiming it was all just video doctored by a couple of racists.
lol.
They're trying to stop any more investigative reporters from getting more dirt!
