Those were the words from Professor Emeritus Elliot Cramer to a student concerned about the Professor’s safety that prompted UNC Chancellor Holden Thorp to demand Cramer’s resignation as advisor to the Youth For Western Civilization Student Group.
Apparently discussions about prowess in matters of self defense are not protected speech in the enlightened corridors of North Carolina’s Taxpayer Funded Public Universities.

Disagree. He wouldn't have been made a Chancellor by mistake. Let us not turn a blind eye to the EVIL that exists among us. He and they know exactly what they are doing in spite of the reality presented.

Of course. So are many college towns. The wolves know where the highest population of sheep reside in one flock. With a bare minimum of sheepdogs nestling among the flock for protection. This flock just fired one of those sheepdogs, thus confirming to the wolves their sheep status.
University of Florida is like that too and it's close proximity to three of the states highest security prisons insures a steady supply of wolves hungry to feed after finishing a stretch of enforced R&R in the "Big House." That's why school officials so dedicate themselves to hiding the true rate of forcible rape on the campus, because if daddy ever found out there is no way daddy's little girl would go near that place!
I sent my daughter off to University of Central Florida with a stun gun and a clear conscience for exactly that reason and I have never regretted it. Neither has the kid. She lived in Orlando for three years after finishing school. Now she's 28 with a ccw and a Sig. The only downside on the horizon? Her company is moving her into the corporate HQ in New York so she has to leave her ccw and her my Sig behind. ~Sigh~ She can take care of herself, now. I raised her right.
