Will SEIU Take Care Of Your Grandmother?

… and will your state government give them the power to do so?

Kansas’s Democratic governor has just announced he’s thinking better of his decision to use the state’s resources to help the Service Employees International Union target home care workers as new union members.

SEIU — part private sector union and part government union — grows by getting friendly Democratic governments to allow the union to collectively bargain for independent home care workers paid by state agencies.

Sure, it’s a bad deal for taxpayers: rates go up and their side of the “negotiating” table is run by a union toadie. It’s gotten so bad that unions even try to organize foster parents. But it’s a good deal for the union, which then gets to feed off the taxpayer trough, and for the politicians who get coveted union financial and logistical support during elections. SEIU, in particular, has worked this scheme in several states — including in Illinois with its ACORN-founded Local 880 and its game of footsie with disgraced former Gov. Rod Blagojevich.

Kansas?

You would think a Governor would have better thing to do than spend their time trying to recruit union members.

Eh? Granholm just DID THIS in Michigan!! In-home child care workers were just unionized WITHOUT their knowledge and consent, are getting dues deducted from their state payments, and The Governatrix is funneling over $3 MILLION into that union when we’re facing a $2+ BILLION budget deficit this year! She did this without legislative approval and is now being sued!

By definition, a government worker’s union only takes care of itself.

Direct quote from SEIU bylaws.

We must organize unorganized Healthcare workers, extending to them the gains of unionism while securing control over the Healthcare industry.

Personal care robots may save the day. The Japanese are serious about this, and have been making huge strides lately.

Who would you rather have tend your needs -- Rosie (from the Jetsons), or these guys:

So just like in the Soviet Union, the politically connected janitor had the doctor by the short hairs. Communists have always held a special hatred for doctors. Especially Jewish doctors. re: The Doctor’s Plot. There is also a reason why doctors and janitors got paid the same.

They certainly took care of someone’s grandmother outside of Walter Reed - they dragged the poor old lady out in her wheelchair in the WINTER! to add an extra body to their anti-war vigil, and she became ill and died.

Dear Governor Perry,

On March 30, 2009 the Texas House of Representatives passed HCR 50 affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment.

You have publicly supported this bill, and stated that attorney generals from all over the union could be getting ready to sue the US Government.

We are asking you to take the lead.

We are asking you to order the Texas Attorney General to publicly begin working on a law suit under Article IV, Ninth, and Tenth Amendment of the Constitution.

We are asking you to protect the citizens of Texas that we will not stand for government controlled healthcare in our state.

Under your leadership we can effectively kill the proposal of this administration and allow Texas to be a state free from socialism and collectivism.

Be the voice of reason in the national debate and allow Texans the ability to solve the problems of our state.

Thank you,

Facts about the 10th Amendment:

The Tenth Amendment (Amendment X) of the United States Constitution, which is part of the Bill of Rights, was ratified on December 15, 1791. The Tenth Amendment restates the Constitution’s principle of Federalism by providing that powers not granted to the national government nor prohibited to the states are reserved to the states or the people.

HCR 50 HAS PASSED THE HOUSE 99-36!
Affirming that the State of Texas claims sovereignty under the Tenth Amendment to the Constitution of the United States over all powers not otherwise enumerated and granted to the federal government by the U.S. Constitution, serving notice to the federal government to cease and desist certain mandates, and providing that certain federal legislation be prohibited or repealed.

Take Action! Before it is too late!

Home care workers, day care workers and other state contract workers, it's a fait accomplis in California and WA state. Now in WA it also includes all hospital workers, too, including nurses. I don't think they have the doctors, yet. In California, some of the independent unions and smaller nursing unions put up a fight. I don't know how it turned out, but I am not hopeful.

One of the goals of Obamacare is to bring health care under government control and unionize it under the SEIU. Just think of an ACORN/SEIU worker deciding whether you live or die.
