When we read these stories of Obama’s Czars messing up the most simple protocol in foreign matters, you have to wonder if he ever talks to anyone with experience at the State Department. Do the duds surrounding him think the world is the hood? It is a little more complicated that that, Bam Bam.

I think Aesop had a fable about flattery as well. Obama fell for it hook line and sinker.
Add to that his wham, bam, thank you ma’am visit. Tony Blair was at the selection event for three days to win the London Olympics. Obummer left ASAP.
I don’t really know, but I suspect that IOC members are actually left of center. I also suspect that when any city’s organizing committee contacts an IOC member, they get a positive response.
They ought not confuse a positive response with support.
A Poli Sci prof told me a story about a guy who ran for office — canvassed every house in the district (it was a city council/county council seat or some such), and got a positive response from well over 1/2 the voters.
On election day, the guy got trounced.

Funny how Obama wins the Nobel from the Swiss today. Consolation prize for getting his ass handed to him by the IOC, which if not mistaken is influenced heavily by the Swiss?
