The Nobel Joke-Prize
NY Post/The Lid ^ | 10/9/09 | The Lid

At first I thought it was a joke. Barack Obama wins the Nobel Peace prize? For What? I ran to check my calendar, no it wasn't April 1st, why were they they telling joke news stories on Fox? OMG they are telling the same news story on MSNBC and CNN. They give the Nobel Peace Prize for running around the world and trashing your own country?

Today the famous peace prize named after the guy who spent his life creating and manufacturing weapons of war, descended into ridiculousness. Of course the Person who who nominated Obama was even more ridiculous, after all nominations had to be filed by February first, less than two weeks after Obama became President.

According to the Committee the POTUS won the Nobel Peace Prize on for giving the world “hope for a better future” and striving for nuclear disarmament. And he did all that between January 20th and February 1.

Even funnier is the fact that he won based on a nomination that came when he had been in office for two weeks.

Obama wins the Nobel Peace Prize?

The nominations had to be in by February. He was in office one month. One month!

This has got to be the biggest crock since … , since … , since Al Gore won it.

Now of course, he has an excuse not to stand up to Iran. He’s the peacemaker. And an excuse to throw Israel under the bus. He’s the peacemaker. And an excuse to turn the other way when North Korea threatens to nuke Seoul or Tokyo. He’s the peacemaker.

After being rick-rolled by Putin and Chavez, he’s now been mouse-trapped by the Nobel Peace Prize committee.

The commentators are already saying this is a reaction to Bush – So it is still Bush’s fault (1 year later).

If Zero can get one of these sewn up after two weeks, they should just give him the bloody prize in perpetuity. Heck, his bowel movements for today ought to cover 2010.

One small mote of satisfaction: President Clinton craved the Nobel Peice (sic) Prize all the time he was in office and more of less openly lobbied for it. He must be burning with envy. If Clinton was black, I'll bet dollars euros to donuts croissants that he would have gotten it.

No, I believe his bowel movements will be awarded the Cordon Bleu by the Ecole de Cuisine de Paris.

Zero’s handlers aren’t as smart as I thought. This will hurt more than help. They have exposed themselves even more with this stunt. Allow me to explain.

This Nobel farce will wake up even more people to the fact that Obama has done absolutely nothing of significance while in office because people who hadn’t paid attention before will start to question why he received this award. Equally as important, it will underline the fact that Obama’s handlers are doing everything in their power to stage manage an empty suit from behind the curtain.

Adolph Hitler, Man of the YearGreatest single news event of 1938 took place on September 29, when four statesmen met at the Führerhaus, in Munich, to redraw the map of Europe. The three visiting statesmen at that historic conference were Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain of Great Britain, Premier Edouard Daladier of France, and Dictator Benito Mussolini of Italy. But by all odds the dominating figure at Munich was the German host, Adolf Hitler. more...
