UN-11Will the silent tears or the loud crying ever stop?

Look at the eyes, gentle reader, the photographers have captured the pain, the hunger, the shame, the fear, the horror... The UN was supposed to alleviate such problems and usher in a new era of peace and prosperity. It has failed miserably! Precisely because of its all inclusiveness.

“Would that include Nazi Germany if it existed today?” I asked him. “Why, yes,” he replied, “a sovereign state is a sovereign state.” The UN makes no demands that its members show even the most minimal regard for human rights or even human lives. Since it was created in 1945, (to end war and senseless killing, to stop hunger, to promote human rights) all too many wars broke out in far too many places on this planet, human rights continue to deteriorate and despots roam freely through the UN's hallowed halls.

Rabbi Yaakov Spivak at Flashpoint concludes:

If this is the best we can do to make a better world, tell them all to pack up and go home. Manhattan would better be served using the place as a parking lot.
Indeed!
