This is the open, SNL pokes fun of Obama winning the Powerball,...it's not quite as hard as last week, but it's definitely a shot at him winning the Nobel Peace Prize...(Video)

Actually pretty lame. I could have written a better sketch in 10 minutes. They just really don’t want to make fun of the guy. They are probably having remorse from last week.
Lame is right....they definitely could have used a little more canned laughter because even the audience wasn’t very amused.
He has still yet to match Hillary Rodham Clinton cattle futures contracts record.
stupid. I could have wrote a better sketch.
I have to go yawn now.
Here’s one question I had about that guy,
Why does he make no attempt to sound like Obama? Rush Limbaugh on his radio show does a better impersonation....
This puzzles me because Darryl Hammond is dead-on Al Gore and Bill Clinton....
It’s like watching a train wreck...
If anything it’s a walk-back from last time. Now he’s not only a supposed do-nothing on the leftist agenda (oh, sure!) but he’s just a natural winner who makes people envious for his winning ways.
And they’re still not even going to make an effort to actually mimic him. They are complete, slobbering suck-ups.
When Tina Fey did Sarah Palin everyone said the impersonation was dead on....
This one, the guy uses his own regular voice....
IIRC, initially he would make some effort to mimic. The skits during the primaries he tried to at least get the odd speech pattern.
Then last week the guy just phoned it in and this week as well. I guess it was ok to mock him as the candidate but now as Prez they are too leery to do so.
DNCNN is sending a Fact Checking team as we sleep!
Pray for AMerica and Our Troops
They could have just read yesterday’s thread topics and gotten more punchlines.
I remember the same. They never made fun of his use of the teleprompter; and his jerking his head back and forth between the 'prompters' ... nor his stuttering. But originally the actor did try to mimic Obama's staccato voice pattern. I didn't see tonight's show (I'm on the left coast), but I agree that the actor/'comic' just phoned in his effort last week... and it sounds like it was more of the same this week.
I'll pass.
It would have been funny if they had done a sketch where they fact-checked CNN. What they did just wasn’t funny. It also seemed like the audience was luke warm to them making fun of Rush Limbaugh.
Exactly...I won’t watch the SNL skit (just reading the FR summaries of it is enough to confirm why),,,,,
But Friday’s fun here at FR over the Nobel Farce Prize was MUCH funnier than anything that has happened here in a long time!
Of course they had to take a shot at Bush. Pretty pathetic as usual
