The New York Times has an interesting update on the never-ending spat between the White House and The Fox News Channel (FNC).
The White House communications director, Anita Dunn, said this weekend, Were going to treat them the way we would treat an opponent. As they are undertaking a war against Barack Obama and the White House, we dont need to pretend that this is the way that legitimate news organizations behave.
Wow. Is there any wonder why Chris Wallace said, after being rebuffed during Obamas news show extravaganzathon a few weeks ago, that Obamas administration was the biggest bunch of crybabies I have dealt with in my 30 years in Washington? I mean, COME ON. You cannot, with any credibility, say that, for example, MSNBC is a legitimate news organization and then claim otherwise about FNC. You just cant.
Heres the thing. Whenever the White House gets its panties in a twist over FNC, the FNC ratings skyrocket. So its not like FNC is freaking out over this or anything. In fact, I would submit to you that theyre kind of reveling in it a little, which, honestly, they SHOULD. Obamas giving them all sorts of clout and power by claiming that they have none, and he looks foolish to avoid them, and by extension the millions of Americans who watch them.
Its kind of cutting off your foot to spite your face, really. If you want to change the minds or convince or sway people to believe in you and your policies, isnt it kind of a good idea to use a platform which REACHES the people youre trying to sway?
Love the cartoon at the top of this thread!
Watched Marc Lamont Hill once on O’Reilly and damn near threw a shoe at the TV. Ever sense I mute that motormouth and will never listen to what he has to say. So far my watching O’Reilly show takes 15 minutes (I record it so I can mute or speed past the crap) with all the liberal junk and O’Reilly is a dunce for having him on.
It’s great he’s on FOX, because he’s always up against someone smarter, saner, righter, and usually, PRETTIER!!
Obama has a lot to be afraid of: The Truth.
Liberals, Community Organizers, Anarchists, DO NOT have policy nor answers.
They need people to focus their unhappiness, anger, bitterness, dis-satisfaction on a target, so that the Community Organizer/Liberal can present themselves as the alternative
It is an admission the other newscasters are all “on the plantation”
Nobel Peace Prize winner Baraq Hussein Obama declares Fox News is his enemy and the Taliban is his ally.
The TRUTH is the enemy of dictators.

That’s why I either listen to Mark Levin or watch sports....
“cutting off your foot to spite your face”
Uh...
The executive branch simply wants from Fox the same right it exercizes with all the other news organs: its “jus primae noctis” as it were.
That is, they demand the right to review all questions before hand, toss out the ones they don’t like and add questions they wish to emphacize.
This wasn’t at all unreasonable in the former Soviet Union or Oceania.
By the way, anyone here now thinking twice about "hate crimes"? Well, are you? This is the ultimate reason that that camel's nose is in the tent.
So, can it happen in America? Could a government actually shut down a national network for "treason"? Can they jail Christians for "hate crimes" against sodomists?
Well, take a peek up north. In Canada we have our "Human Rights Commissions" both federal and provincial. They are run by jack-booted fascists empowered by hate crimes legislation and appear uncontrollable by either Liberals or Conservatives. Scary times in the land of the frozen tundra, the perfect place for all your gulag needs.
One could argue that to treat Fox News differently from any other news organization is a First Amendment violation, interfering with a free and independent press.
Obama knows the power of ideas - he’s afraid of FOX...
That is what makes this whole thing so silly. Fox outdoes all the other news networks combined!!!!!
Agree, Fox is not conservative, it just gives conservatives a forum that others won’t....Such a pathetic wuss the left is that someone gives the other side a voice..
Thanks for the ping!
They’re also sending e-mails to Scarborough on MSNBC, unless that was a joke. I’ve never seen such an intruso administration. Where is the gravitas? Where is the dignity of the office? Where is the hope that we can change the United States back to what it was?
They just can’t get away with it...( yet).
