first, thank you Dianna for stepping up and publicly taking a stand for what’s right. i believe a majority of freepers would do the same, given the chance. people of integrity normally would.
as for why it’s important... it’s as simple as pointing out that it was of high import to the founders. so much so, that they made it the second article.
if we can start to disregard random parts of the Constitution, which ALL our law is based on... then what goes next? (personally... i’m for dropping amendment 16 and defunding the bastards)
