Did they get around to discussing what that means to Hardball's 350,000 viewers?

??

There is nothing extreme about Fox News. They are pretty middle of the road really, especially if you don’t count Hannity and Beck.

Considering the realative ratings, one wonders if that will lead Chris Matthews to consider the signifcance of his own show.

Hardball? That’s still on the air? Nobody’s watching, so how do they keep going?

Wolff: Fox is bigger than the big bad wolf and all the others are pretenders in the forest of fringe media.

You keep telling yourself that, twinkletoes, while Fox eats more and more of the ratings pie.

Hard to believe that these leftists can even say this sort of crap with a straight face, when they're only getting a small fraction of the viewers that Fox is.

If Fox has only a "marginal" presence, what do you think that makes MSNBC?

Idiot.

“the truth is Fox is not very popular in this country, it may have great ratings but still we’re talking under two million people, it’s a really marginal somewhat extreme presence in the United States”

Methinks he needs a little perspective. To fairly judge Fox’s popularity, you have to judge it against similar things. Other cable news networks, for instance. As opposed to, say, comparing how many people watch Bill O’Reilly to how many have driven a car at some point in their life. Granted, Fox comes up short in that particular pairing, but what does it demonstrate, exactly? Not much.

Of course, he knows this and is playing the fool, as the kids say. If he wants to get into a discussion about the place of tv news, as opposed to other outlets for learning The Way Things Are, I’m up for it. But for most purposes, I think it’s sufficient to say Fox is #1 for cable news, and that’s significant. Even if any single show attracts less attention than American Idol.

Yes there is! It is the only "news" organization that does "news". (Other than the shows you noted) That's pretty extreme these days when most "news" hours' are nothing more than editorials and blatant worship of Zero and the democRATS!

Fox clobbers MSDNC in the ratings on a daily basis.

I’m sure the 14 people watching Mr. Maddow disagree.

An “after all, nobody I know watches it” moment? Does he not catch the irony of telling this to the handful of Hardball viewers?
