Here is video of CNN's Wolf Blitzer confirming the identity of the primary shooter at the Fort Hood Mass Killing today as Army Major Nidal Malik Hasan (previously called Malik Nadal Hasan), a doctor who worked in metal health.
Below is video of Fox News' Shepherd Smith identifying the shooter as a "high ranking" official, but not giving the actual name of the shooter for some reason . . . Fox News has since also identified the name of the primary shooter. . . . (VIDEOS)

Why would you think that Fox could confirm the name before anyone else, especially MSNBC?

Until 3PM Fox didn’t know the name of the suspect but since then FOX is reporting it
Shep and many others want to be able to report from the ME in the future, should the need arise. They do not want to sound unsympathetic to the Jihadists’ cause for fear that they get their throats slit if they ever travelled to the ME. It is a matter of survival for them.
