Palin's words of encouragement ring true amid "Pelosi's Folly"

There's little doubt that many are disgusted by the subterfuge that accompanied the passing of the "Pelosi Care" bill. If you're like me, you might even feel a tad sick, even after the encouraging signs of revival in VA, NJ and, yes, NY 23, where the GOP lost a battle so that authentic conservatism might soon win the war, as it were.

Sarah Palin's response to the bill via Facebook, however, is inspiring enough for all of us and remains a potent warning. Her point about how the nation is speeding to the point of unrecognizability is chilling, but it ought to be. It's the keenest observation of her response and, while it highlights the valid concerns of true conservative Americans, it also embodies our indefatigable spirit of optimism, even in the midst of disturbing times.

When the Democrats hurled this bill through the House like a burning spear yesterday, they were hoping to underscore one of the things they get wrong, routinely, about conservatives. Namely, they believe that we are "afraid" of change. If I may endeavor to correct that misconception, conservative Americans are not at all frightened by various changes that might shape developments in truly beneficial governance. However, conservatives do indeed have a keen eye for developments that seek to change the very fabric of government itself!

Barack Obama, Speaker Pelosi and their attendant legions traverse a deviant and dangerous path that will warp the Constitution enough to essentially "gut" the document. This faction of liberal lawmakers, borne of an atheistic and morally relativist misinterpretation of The Enlightenment, seeks to replace 'The Shining City on a Hill' with...'The Dim Housing-Project on a Landfill'.

Why would liberals wish to enact such a diminishing transformation? Because the Leftist impulse lacks the protective inner-solidity of Character...

An easy explanation is that the Democratic Party are communists. Not socialists but one rule with one corrupt leader King Obama. Buying, threading, and forcing by thugs is communistic.

Actually it is fascist. But fascist/communist are merely different faces of the same rotten coin.

I was made as hell like everyone else this morning when I found this was passed last night. Truth is, we knew it was
coming, if we can’t stop it in the Senate, well just have to get it repealed after the fall elections in 2010.

An easy explanation is that the Democratic Party are communists.

They are communistic, that's certain. How much further they will get is an open question. If the 2010 congressional election doesn't sweep them out, and they remain a majority, there's no telling how far they will go. I don't rule out a one-party dictatorship under the pretext of a "national emergency". It happened in 1930s Germany, it happened in early 20th century Russia. Those who think it can't happen here are self-deluded.

I’m not too worried about that. Obama and his troupe have memorized Alinksy in order to gain power. Stalin, Hitler, and Mussolini had plans beyond merely gaining power. After positioning themselves they weren’t too shy about doing what was necessary to eliminate their enemies and consolidate power in their own hands.

I think Obama is weak. He has been brushed back by every foreign leader he has tried to influence. I think his failure rate has to be close to 100%. However, you might look close to Obama. I’m sure there are people nearby who aren’t hung up on the rule of law.

He talks smack about conservatives and we rank higher on his enemies list than any foreign power but, even so, I don’t think he really has any balls. He really is a Carter clone. He is a belligerent pacifist.
