When school district representatives told a Southern California teacher to remove the banners he had on display in his classroom, diversity and tenure were used to justify the order, according to Robert Muise, a lawyer for the Michigan-based Thomas More Law Center.
Mr. Johnson, if a Muslim student came in here, he wouldnt be comfortable, bureaucrats told the educator, Muise said at a Capitol Hill seminar on October 28, 2009....

I removed my daughter from a school once I learned why they did not recite the the Pledge of Alligence: Why pledge alligence to a flag? We have kids from other countries here.
I was furious that something that basic wasn’t taught in a PRIVATE school. Of course I had trouble getting her records transferred.

I was curious to see what the banners contained that might offend a Muslim student, so I followed the link. I can only assume they had something to do with American patriotism, but there are no details. Based only on the information given, the banners could have said, “Bacon is tasty.”
If a Christian was “uncomfortable” over a Muslim display, they’d be called “intolerant.”
