In Ramallah on Wednesday thousands of Palestinians gathered to mark the five-year anniversary of Arafat's death and to express support for Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who announced last week that he will not seek to hold office again in next year's elections.
Five years ago today the world became a much better place. Today November 11 is the day that Terrorist/ Pedophile Yassir Arafat finally succumbed to AIDS.
Yasser Arafat is considered a hero by most Arab Palestinians, a Statesman by many EU and African Governments, family friend by Obama adviser Robert Malley and a Terrorist by rational thinking people.
One description rarely used is The Man Who Destroyed Palestine yet it is a very appropriate one. Much of the financial aid from western nations directed toward helping his people actually found its way into Swiss bank account.
Until the thief and baby killer moved to the Palestinian Territories from Tripoli the World Bank records indicate that the GDP of the West Bank grew between 7% and 13% per year . Tourism skyrocketed, unemployment almost disappeared as hundreds of thousands of Arabs worked in Israel’s economy earning far more than their counterparts in other Arab countries. Seven universities, funded in part by Israeli and private Jewish money, grew up on the West Bank in place of the three teachers training schools that existed there before 1967.
