You Ask Me to Apologize?
Houston Chronicle ^ | 11/7/2009 1:03 PM CST | Young American Muslim

Posted on 11/13/2009 4:20:33 AM PST by BellStar

I hate violence. So much that I can barely tolerate the evening news, where crime is given a spotlight. Yes, I know it exists, but why should I dwell on it? It only serves to depress me because I feel so helpless against it. Why would people ever commit such acts? It is mind boggling. The Fort Hood killings were heartbreaking, terrible, and should never have happened. Innocent soldiers were hurt, and the lives of their families will change forever. No one should die the way they did. When I first heard about them, I was upset, of course. I didn’t have all the details, but I was still disturbed. When I found out it was a Muslim who did it, though, I wanted nothing to do with it. I knew what it would lead to. Finger pointing, a witch hunt, more confusion about my religion. Why should I identify myself with the tragedy when I, along with the vast majority of Muslims, do not agree with the killer’s actions? When details emerged about his unstable mental health, I understood what the situation was really about. The man obviously needed help and for some reason, never received it. He was angry and was armed. Case closed.

Muslims have been attacking US citizens since 1785. Perhaps this youngster needs to brush up on his US history.

Oh goody. Upset that muslims get painted with the “terrorist” brush, this young American muslim has no difficulty at all passing the buck to the mentally ill.

Which of the two are more likely to run amuck with weapons, shouting “Allahu Akbar!” and killing innocent bystanders: muslims or the mentally ill?

Yes, I do ask the author to apologize: for slandering the mentally ill.

Don't want you to apologize. Want your hands high over your head. That's not too difficult to understand now, is it? LOL

sorry, bub. This is about a member of your “religion” acting out what the “religion” teaches. Case closed.

Dear dihimi WK Halid, I don't care about apologize, how about turning over to the FBI any such murdering mooslim morons you know about, instead of apologizing for them...which is what you're doing.

Other than that, I'd invite you to frequently denounce these world-wide acts of slamic troublemaking if you dare.

If you can't do that, I'd invite you to kindly leave the US.

Have you noticed any heads being lobbed off lately?
Have you noticed any fathers murdering their daughters lately?
Have you noticed any airplanes crashing into buildings lately?
Have you noticed that the Koran calls for all these things with an added bonus of 72 virgins for anyone carrying them out?
Just asking!

“At the same time, though, I don’t see Christians, Jews, Hindus, etc. having to condemn the violent behaviors of criminals that happen to be of the same faith).”
YAM: I have to respond to the above taken from your blog entry. Although you and other muslims might not support the kind of terrorism practiced by the Fort Hood Moslem, your religion engenders the kind of violent expression that the world has been seeing for a long time. A great deal of Moslem doctrine deals with the physical death of its enemies. What is Islam to you? There are many evil people who were born into certain faiths, but I cannot recollect an incident where a practicing Christian has opened fire on innocent people shouting a religious utterance. Yet in almost all terrorist cases in living memory, the perpetrator has ranted in the name of allah and then killed people. So, the implications are clear. What is unclear is why you do not see it.

Said the Muslim, “If we can take away anything from this situation, it is how a basic understanding of Islam is seriously lacking in our country.”

True, so very true.

Sez the Guru, “When America does finally actualize a ‘basic understanding of Islam’, they will play “Cowboys & Muslims”.

Instead of the return of the 12th Inane from the bottom of some well, they will cause a final game of ‘Cowboys & Muslims’.

When I first heard about the shootings, I knew it would be an Islamic shooter... why is that? Am I racist? No. Because they have been at war with us for centuries and we are now at war (somewhat) against them. Because, with nearly 100% coincidence around the world, it's always them. What would have surprised me is if this had just been some loan crazy. Of course it was an enemy attack.

Still, I was disturbed. With the current crew we have in Washington, I knew what it would lead to... this crap.

I think you can catagorize the members of the muslim faith into three groups.
1. Radicals
2. Those who silently agree with the radicals but would not murder others.
3. Those who are afraid of the radicals and therefore stay silent.
Until the entire faith unites against the radicals and excommunicates them, we have no choice but to view the entire muslim religion as potential terrorists and should watch them closely.
This religion attracts angry people and radicalizes them.

I can’t think of another religion that allows such hate and anger to permiate their religion. When Christians murder in the name of their relgion IE abortionists, almost the entire relgion speaks out against the acts of violence but not Muslims because they fear for their lives.

I think he needs to take a closer look at his religion, specifically the violence it calls for. Second, he needs to evaluate the alleged ‘peaceful’ nature of his religion vs. its’ on the world today (who is carrying out violent acts, how horrific they are).

If that doesn’t make him want to drop his Quaran into the dumpster, then he’s a closed minded apologist.

A pig skin book cover for all Korans & a Bacon sandwich for all holders of the same. Politically correct?.....Nope, and don’t care!! ALL MUSLIMS can be drowned in Pig Pi$$ for all I care. I’m a quick learner & all I need to know about Islam I learned on 9-11.

It seems that an excuse can be found for just about ANYTHING that happens to dismiss the gravity of a given situation & place blame on a myriad of “reasons” that have the place of detracting from the actual “event.”

This P.C. crap is synonymous to a run away train through America. If Americans had the present attitude in WWII Germany NOR Japan would have been bombed & surrender would have been the order of the day. ESPECIALLY with this A$$-HAT named 0bama & his minions.
